On October 3, according to the Government Electronic Information Portal, through inspection and auditing activities, the Binh Thuan Provincial Inspectorate transferred files to the Investigation Police Agency at all levels on 4 cases showing signs of corruption and negativity.
These cases include:
- The case of bidding and purchasing assets and equipment for bid packages won by AIC International Progress Joint Stock Company (AIC Company) in the province;
- The incident at Ham My Primary School, Ham Thuan Nam district;
- The incident at Dong Me Primary School, Tanh Linh district;
- The case of Tan Phuoc 2 Primary School, La Gi town.
In the above cases, the Investigation Police Agency of Binh Thuan Province Police recently decided to prosecute the criminal case of violating bidding regulations causing serious consequences that occurred in 2016 and 2017 at the Department of Education and Training, AIC Company and related units.
The investigation agency is currently continuing to handle reports of two incidents at Ham My Primary School, Ham Thuan Nam district and Tan Phuoc 2 Primary School, La Gi town.
Regarding the incident at Dong Me Primary School, Duc Thuan Commune, the Investigation Police Agency of Tanh Linh District Police decided to temporarily suspend the handling of information about the crime.
Also according to information from the Government Electronic Information Portal, through inspection work, the inspection agencies of Binh Thuan province also transferred the case file showing signs of tax evasion of Phuong Nam - Binh Thuan Company Limited and Long Thai Viet Company to the Investigation Police Agency.
Regarding these two companies, as Lao Dong reported, on September 20, 2024, the Investigation Police Agency of Binh Thuan Province Police prosecuted and arrested Tran Van Thuan - Director of Long Thai Viet Company Limited.
Mr. Tran Van Thuan was arrested for violating regulations on resource exploitation under Article 227 of the 2015 Penal Code (amended and supplemented in 2017).
