Hanoi City Police has a new Director

    Major General Nguyen Thanh Tung - Deputy Director of Hanoi City Police - was appointed to the position of Director of Hanoi City Police.

    The Ministry of Public Security has just issued Decision No. 1668/QD-BCA on the appointment of officers.

    Accordingly, the Ministry of Public Security appointed Major General Nguyen Thanh Tung - Deputy Director of Hanoi City Police - to hold the position of Director of Hanoi City Police.

    Before his appointment, Major General Nguyen Thanh Tung, born in 1968, was a member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, Deputy Director of the City Police, Head of the Investigation Police Agency of the Hanoi City Police.

    Mr. Nguyen Thanh Tung was appointed Deputy Director of Hanoi City Police in 2018. Previously, Mr. Tung was the Chief of the Bac Tu Liem District Police.

    In 2021, he was promoted to the rank of Major General. In 2019-2025, Major General Nguyen Thanh Tung will hold the position of Deputy Director - Head of the Investigation Police Agency of Hanoi City Police.

    Previously, the Prime Minister issued a decision to transfer and appoint Lieutenant General Nguyen Hai Trung - Director of Hanoi City Police to hold the position of Deputy Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions from March 1, 2025.
