Binh Dinh voters propose support for redundant staff after merger

On December 2, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc and the National Assembly Delegation of Binh Dinh province had a meeting with voters after the 8th Session of the 15th National Assembly.

At the meeting, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Delegation of Binh Dinh province Ly Tiet Hanh informed voters about the important contents of the 8th Session.

In particular, the National Assembly approved the 2025 state budget estimate with a deficit equivalent to 3.8% of GDP, allowing the use of 5% of the 2024 regular expenditure reduction and savings to support the elimination of temporary and dilapidated houses for poor and near-poor households and support other localities.

The National Assembly has passed many important resolutions such as the National Target Program on Cultural Development for the 2025-2035 period, the policy of investing in the North-South high-speed railway; establishing Hue City under the Central Government and reducing 2% of value added tax on goods and services...

During this session, the National Assembly passed 18 laws and 4 legal resolutions, demonstrating the spirit of innovation, decentralization, delegation of power and removing bottlenecks and obstacles in practice.

At the meeting, voters of Binh Dinh province highly appreciated the results of the 8th Session, and at the same time recommended to the National Assembly, the Government, central and local agencies to consider and resolve a number of contents such as: Management of gold trading activities, measures to stabilize gold prices; non-cash digital transformation needs to support small and medium enterprises; ensuring policies for civil servants and public employees when implementing the arrangement of administrative units, streamlining the management apparatus from the central to local levels...

At the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc highly appreciated the enthusiastic and responsible opinions of voters in the province. At the same time, he affirmed that he would receive and carefully review the content, clarify the opinions and recommendations and send them to competent authorities for consideration and settlement according to regulations.

According to the Deputy Prime Minister, restructuring the Government apparatus and political system is considered a revolution to ensure effectiveness and efficiency in managing and operating development goals and orientations for the 2025-2030 period.

After merging the apparatus, the Central, Government and National Assembly will discuss the mechanism for reducing staff. "For example: After completing the apparatus, we will calculate how to reduce staff, how to create jobs and livelihoods for them, then there will be a synchronous solution. There must be a mechanism, how much money, how many months of salary... will be discussed later", Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc said.

Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc also said that in the coming years, the National Assembly aims for GDP growth of about 8%, bringing Vietnam's economic scale into the world's top 20 in terms of trade and top 10 in terms of GDP scale.

Regarding infrastructure, focus on investing in developing transport infrastructure such as highways, North-South railway and Long Thanh airport.

Regarding social security, we are determined to completely eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses for poor households by 2025 using socialized capital and the state budget...
