After the arrangement, Quy Nhon city, Binh Dinh province has 17 commune-level administrative units, including 12 wards and 5 communes.

The National Assembly Standing Committee has just issued Resolution No. 1257/NQ-UBTVQH15 on the arrangement of commune-level administrative units of Binh Dinh province for the 2023-2025 period.

Accordingly, the Standing Committee of the National Assembly resolved to arrange commune-level administrative units in Quy Nhon city as follows:

Merge the entire natural area of ​​0.97 km2, population of 17,954 people of Le Hong Phong ward and the entire natural area of ​​0.69 km2, population of 9,311 people of Ly Thuong Kiet ward into Tran Phu ward.

After the merger, Tran Phu ward has a natural area of ​​2.32 km2 and a population of 38,806 people.

Merge the entire natural area of ​​0.47 km2, population of 10,001 people of Tran Hung Dao ward and the entire natural area of ​​0.57 km2, population of 14,090 people of Le Loi ward into Thi Nai ward.

After the merger, Thi Nai ward has a natural area of ​​2.94 km2 and a population of 36,458 people.

After the arrangement, Quy Nhon city has 17 commune-level administrative units, including 12 wards and 5 communes.

Establishment of towns in Phu Cat district as follows:

Establish Cat Khanh town on the basis of the entire natural area of ​​30.74 km2 and population of 17,358 people of Cat Khanh commune.

After the establishment of the town, Phu Cat district has 18 commune-level administrative units, including 15 communes and 3 towns.

After the arrangement of commune-level administrative units, Binh Dinh province has 11 district-level administrative units, including 8 districts, 2 towns and 1 city; 155 commune-level administrative units, including 115 communes, 28 wards and 12 towns.

This Resolution comes into force from December 1, 2024.

The Government, People's Council, People's Committee of Binh Dinh province and relevant agencies and organizations are responsible for organizing the implementation of this Resolution; arranging and perfecting the apparatus of local agencies and organizations; stabilizing the lives of local people, ensuring the requirements of socio-economic development, national defense and security in the area.

The Government directs relevant ministries and the Binh Dinh provincial government to continue researching and developing appropriate reorganization plans for administrative units that are subject to reorganization but have not yet been reorganized in the 2023-2025 period, and to determine a roadmap for completing necessary standards and conditions to ensure reorganization in the following years in accordance with regulations.
