At the question and answer session this morning (August 21) organized by the National Assembly Standing Committee, National Assembly delegate Pham Van Hoa (Dong Thap Delegation) stated that in fact, the night tourism model in many localities still exists. poor, monotonous, just a street for walking, food, art activities, entertainment, "every night there is no night, mainly on Saturdays and Sundays".
Delegate Pham Van Hoa raised questions to Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism (VHTTDL) Nguyen Van Hung about policies for night tourism to thrive, with diverse and abundant products and healthy entertainment, keeping overnight tourist arrivals to stimulate demand.
Answering this question, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung affirmed that the Ministry has a project on night tourism products on the basis of encouraging localities to research planning factors to calculate product lines and evaluate market price of customers, thereby creating suitable night tourism products.
Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung also admitted that many localities make night tourism products, but "if they don't do it, they will be lacking, and if they don't do it, it will be redundant" because tourists don't come. The main responsibility is the chairmen of the Provincial People's Committees and Provincial People's Councils, not the Ministry.
Previously, delegate Duong Minh Anh (Hanoi) also questioned Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung about solutions to improve quality, increase quantity, and meet human resources in the field of culture and arts in the coming period.
According to National Assembly delegate Duong Minh Anh, the training of human resources in the arts sector nationwide is shrinking in scale and decreasing in quality, with many branches and majors unable to enroll students.
Meanwhile, the number of highly specialized experts, scientists, and professional cultural managers is decreasing, and art training institutions are having difficulty being autonomous.
Responding to questions, Minister Nguyen Van Hung said that this is not a problem that has just been realized but that the State management agency has frankly reported to the National Assembly.
The government has regulations to encourage and motivate such as reducing tuition fees and providing incentives for studying traditional arts subjects. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has been implementing it nationwide, not just in the Ministry's schools.
Regarding long-term solutions, there need to be many solutions for people to love Vietnamese culture and consider traditional Vietnamese cultural arts as the soul that needs to be preserved and passed down.
