Industrial parks open up new development directions for Thai Nguyen

Thai Nguyen - The wide industrial park opens up new development opportunities, aiming for the goal of sustainability and soon forming the appearance of a modern industrial province.

For many years, Thai Nguyen has played the role of industrial center of the Northern midlands and mountains with high growth rate and an attractive investment environment.

Speaking at the opening of the 1st Party Congress, Provincial Party Secretary Trinh Viet Hung emphasized the task of streamlining the apparatus, operating the two-level government model from July 1, 2025, ensuring effectiveness, efficiency and in line with long-term development orientation.

Along with organizational innovation, the province focuses resources on rapid and sustainable development, improving growth quality and people's lives, while closely linking economic development with ensuring social security.

In the 2020 - 2025 term, the Thai Nguyen economy achieved many positive results, with an average growth of 7.3% per year, GRDP in 2025 reached more than 202,925 billion VND, and average income per capita reached 119 million VND.

Three national target programs have been vigorously implemented, contributing to improving life and sustainable poverty reduction with the poverty rate decreasing by 1.41%/year, this result exceeding the target set at the beginning of the term.

The Congress identified 7 key tasks, 3 breakthroughs, focusing on developing modern infrastructure, science and technology, innovation, digital transformation, improving human resources and building a green economy, a circular economy.

At the same time, it is recommended that immediately after the Congress, the province issue a specific action program and plan to implement the Resolution effectively.

The Minister emphasized that the consolidation of development space creates opportunities for the province to combine industry and urban areas with cultural and tourism potential, thereby expanding growth space, affirming the position of a modern industrial province.

Thai Nguyen is also recommended to focus on planning to connect with the capital Hanoi and neighboring localities, to affirm the role of an industrial, service and educational center of the midland and mountainous region of the North in the future.

In parallel with economic development, the province especially values the task of ensuring national security and defense, maintaining political stability... creating a safe environment to attract investment.

The orientation of green, smart and sustainable development is focused on to promote industrialization, ensure a living environment, and meet the aspirations of cadres, party members and people.

The major goal is to turn Thai Nguyen into a modern industrial province, this is a strategic orientation that contributes to economic and social development and improving people's lives.

On September 23, Thai Nguyen held the 1st Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030.

Attending were former General Secretary Nong Duc Manh; General Phan Van Giang - Minister of National Defense; Deputy Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions Y Vinh tor and leaders of the Central and local governments.

The Congress was attended by 443 delegates representing more than 140,000 party members in the entire Party Committee.
