Hanoi - The Ring Road 2.5 project, Dam Hong - National Highway 1A section, is being urgently constructed by the contractor, the investor is committed to bringing the project to the finish line in the first quarter of 2026.

In recent days, many machines and workers have been mobilized by contractors to deploy the construction of the wastewater drainage pipeline system, organize the construction of power pipe wrapping, technical pipe wrapping, construction of clean water supply system... under the Ring Road 2.5 project, Dam Hong - National Highway 1A section.

Speaking to Lao Dong Newspaper reporter, Mr. Pham Dang Ninh - representative of the construction unit - said that since the project was restarted (May 2025), the investor has directed contractors to mobilize all human resources and equipment, organize construction 24/7, including weekends and holidays.

"The company has mobilized more machinery, equipment and materials from outside units, while flexibly deploying items that can be constructed in bad weather conditions to ensure the set progress" - Mr. Ninh said.

To date, the infrastructure volume has been completed about 70-80%. It is expected that the infrastructure of the corridors on both sides of the sidewalk will be completed in the next 15-20 days. After completing the underground infrastructure, the site will be handed over to continue paving the sidewalk, completing the road surface and connecting the L3 bridge across the Lu River.

Regarding the L3 bridge item (Km1+394 route), Mr. Ninh said that he had organized the construction of 20 bored piles, all bridge piers and cast all girders. The bridge abutment and remaining items of the bridge have not been constructed.

The investor has directed the contractor to conduct a field survey and organize an experiment, inspecting the current status of the quality of the bridge piers and bridge girders under construction before 2019.

The inspection results showed that the items inspected met quality requirements, ensured load-bearing capacity according to design and required current technical standards to continue constructing the remaining items.

From October, the Trinh Dinh Cuu - Ring Road 2.5 intersection will be divided and traffic will be organized to serve the construction of the L3 bridge across the Lu River, one of the important items of the Ring Road 2.5 project.

Mr. Pham Dang Ninh also said that the investor is committed to completing the project in the first quarter of 2026 to synchronize with the Kim Dong - Giai Phong underpass.

"There is not much time left from now until now, the contractor will focus all its efforts to complete the remaining items, ensuring that the project will reach the finish line according to the set schedule" - Mr. Ninh emphasized.

The project to build the Ring Road 2.5, Dam Hong - National Highway 1A section (Hanoi) is invested in the form of a BT (build - transfer) contract with a length of 1.2km, with a total investment of more than 1,300 billion VND. Hoang Mai - Hanoi Construction Investment Company Limited is a project enterprise.

The project started in 2014 and was expected to be completed in 2017 but was behind schedule.

In 2020, the project was temporarily suspended when it had only reached about 40% of the workload. The reason is due to difficulties in site clearance and extension of BT contract appendices.
