Speaking at the program, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra said that behind each cancer patient is a difficult and lossful situation. Some families have had to sell assets to treat their loved ones. Some patients silently endure pain but still resolutely overcome it with the desire to live, to be with their families, to see a brighter tomorrow.

Especially, we cannot help but feel choked up when witnessing young children with cancer having to get used to beds early, with prolonged chemotherapy sessions instead of going to school, playing and living their childhood fully. But even in those difficult circumstances, many children are still innocent and nurture a very beautiful belief in life. It is these pure and energetic eyes that further urge us all to do more to share and accompany poor cancer patients" - Party Central Committee Secretary, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra emphasized.

In the most difficult moments, human love becomes sacred more than ever. A timely sharing not only helps patients have more conditions for treatment but also helps them retain faith and will to continue fighting illness. That is also the great, humane and loving meaning of tonight's art program.

Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister Pham Thi Thanh Tra hopes that the "Radiant Tomorrow" message of the Fund will continue to spread strongly, connecting millions of compassionate hearts and noble gestures for poor cancer patients.

Mr. Le Van Quang - Director of K Hospital, Vice Chairman of the Cancer Patient Support Fund - Bright Tomorrow said that in 2011, the Fund was established from the feelings and responsibilities of health sector officials towards cancer patients and for cancer patients.

On that journey, the Fund has implemented many practical and meaningful programs such as supporting treatment drugs, supporting hospital fees, giving gifts and charity meals to poor patients; organizing activities for children with cancer, breast cancer patients; deploying screening, communication to raise awareness about cancer prevention, and at the same time, mobilizing the community to join hands to share with patients. The total value of support in the past 15 years has reached more than 5,000 billion VND for poor cancer patients and children nationwide.

However, the most meaningful thing that the Fund received is not just the numbers, but the belief that is ignited, the eyes of hope, and the will to overcome illness when patients receive community sharing.
