On May 18, the Quang Tri Provincial Labor Federation said that Dien Sanh Commune Trade Union has coordinated with MEDLATEC Vietnam Co., Ltd. to organize a free liver cancer and digestive cancer screening program for union members and workers in the area.
At the program, more than 150 union members and workers were health checked, screened for liver cancer, digestive tract cancer, and consulted on nutrition and living habits suitable to their working conditions and characteristics.
Previously, Dien Sanh Commune Trade Union also coordinated to organize free cancer examination and screening for 145 union members and workers at VTJ Toms Textile and Garment Co., Ltd.
The free health check-up program is a practical activity, showing the concern of the Trade Union organization for the lives and health of union members and workers.
Through this activity, workers have more conditions to detect early disease risks to proactively treat them promptly, reduce medical examination and treatment costs and improve the quality of life.
It is expected that in Workers' Month and Action Month for Occupational Safety and Health in 2026, Dien Sanh Commune Trade Union will continue to coordinate in organizing health check-ups and screenings for about 1,000 union members and workers.
On this occasion, Dien Sanh Commune Trade Union also presented 2 gifts to support 2 union members suffering from critical illnesses, each worth 2 million VND.
