According to VNA, during the visit of the King of Cambodia, on the afternoon of November 28, during a meeting with Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, General Secretary To Lam affirmed that Vietnam supports Cambodia's vision and development orientation in the new period. The General Secretary emphasized that the Party and State of Vietnam always attach importance to and give top priority to building and developing the relationship between the two countries to continuously develop well.
King Norodom Sihamoni congratulated the Vietnamese people on the great and historic achievements in the cause of national renewal, construction and development. The Cambodian King affirmed the desire and determination of the Cambodian leaders and people to continue to foster and preserve the relationship between the two countries.
Earlier, right after the solemn welcoming ceremony at the Presidential Palace on the afternoon of November 28, President Luong Cuong met with the King of Cambodia. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, at the meeting, both sides were satisfied with the relationship between the two countries in recent times, believing that through many ups and downs of history, the traditional friendship, solidarity and mutual assistance between the two countries, which has been painstakingly cultivated with the efforts and blood of many previous generations, is a priceless asset that the two countries need to preserve for future generations. In that spirit, the two sides agreed to promote the development of the two countries' relationship in a deep and sustainable manner in all fields, including focusing on promoting extensive propaganda so that the younger generations of the two countries can deeply understand the solidarity and sacrifice between the two countries and peoples, and continue to promote the Vietnam-Cambodia friendship.
Also on the afternoon of November 28, meeting with Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni at the Government headquarters, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that Vietnam is ready to support and share experiences to help Cambodia successfully organize the 20th Summit of the Francophone Community in 2026. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expressed his hope that, in his noble position, the King will continue to pay attention, and together with senior Cambodian leaders, direct the removal of difficulties and obstacles, and create conditions for naturalization for people of Vietnamese origin who are qualified to live and work stably and legally in Cambodia, integrate well with the local community and serve as a bridge of friendship between the two countries; as well as pay attention and support so that the project of the Center for Vietnamese Studies at the Royal University of Phnom Penh can soon be established and put into operation.
On the afternoon of November 28, at the National Assembly House, Politburo member and National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man had a meeting with Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni. According to the National Assembly Office, National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man affirmed that this state visit by the Cambodian King brings to the Vietnamese people warm and friendly feelings, demonstrating the deep affection of the King and Cambodian people for the leaders and people of Vietnam. King Norodom Sihamoni said that this state visit to Vietnam by the King and his delegation is very important, of historical significance, aiming to further consolidate and expand the traditional friendship, solidarity and cooperation between the two countries and peoples.
Within the framework of the state visit to Vietnam, on the morning of November 29, President Luong Cuong and Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni visited the Temple of Literature and enjoyed precious Vietnamese tea. Drinking tea with the Cambodian King, President Luong Cuong wished the King good health, to always be a tall tree, a great shade, and to continue to lead the Cambodian people to greater achievements in the cause of national construction and development.
Earlier that morning, King Norodom Sihamoni and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son visited Quan Su Pagoda - the most sacred ancient temple in Hanoi.
