Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee Nguyen Van Duoc presented a submission to dismiss Mr. Bui Xuan Cuong from the position of Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee for the term 2026 - 2031 to carry out personnel work.
Mr. Bui Xuan Cuong was born in 1975, with professional qualifications as a bridge and road engineer, master of engineering, master of public administration.
Previously, Mr. Bui Xuan Cuong held the position of Deputy Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport from December 2009 to August 2014.
From August 2014 to August 2015, Mr. Cuong was appointed to hold the position of Head of Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Management Board.
From August 2015, Mr. Bui Xuan Cuong was appointed to hold the position of Director of Ho Chi Minh City Department of Transport.
In early 2019, the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee transferred Mr. Bui Xuan Cuong back to hold the position of Head of the Ho Chi Minh City Urban Railway Management Board.
From October 2022 to now, Mr. Bui Xuan Cuong has held the position of Vice Chairman of Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee.
