According to the program, the 1st Quang Ngai Provincial Party Congress, term 2025 - 2030, will take place from September 10 to 12.

In the economic field, Quang Ngai continues to affirm its position as one of the dynamically developing provinces in the Central region. Gross regional domestic product (GRDP) is estimated at VND93 trillion, an average increase of 7.3%/year, ranking 10/34 provinces and cities nationwide. The scale of the economy by 2025 will reach nearly 189 trillion VND (current price), ranking 23/34 provinces and cities nationwide. The proportion of industry - construction and services accounts for 70.3% of GRDP.
In 2025, GRDP per capita is estimated to reach nearly 4,000 USD; average income per capita is nearly 55 million VND/year, up 9.4%/year. State budget revenue exceeds the central target, collected over 5 years is estimated at 170 trillion VND. Total social investment capital reached about 348 trillion VND.
Quang Ngai province merged with Kon Tum province to form the new Quang Ngai province, with an area of nearly 15 thousand km2 (ranking 5th in the country). This merger is not only a combination of two administrative units, two development spaces, but also a blend of two cultural regions, two historical flows and a convergence and inheritance, promoting the strong resonance and solidarity of the two localities.
There are 5 key tasks that this congress has identified, which are: Strengthening the construction and rectification of the Party and the political system, strengthening people's trust in the Party Committee and government; Continuing to promote industrial development, focusing on foundational industry, promoting the formation of a National Center for Refining, Petrochemical and Energy in Dung Quat Economic Zone; Developing high-tech agriculture associated with processing and consumption markets; Promoting tourism development; developing Ly Son into a center for sea, island and Mang Den tourism area to become an eco-tourism and resort center; Effectively implementing sustainable poverty reduction work, improving people's lives.
