After the arrangement, Viet Tri city has 20 commune-level administrative units, including 11 wards and 9 communes.

Merge the entire natural area of 14.07 km2, population of 5,522 people of Minh Phu commune and the entire natural area of 11.86 km2, population of 4,889 people of Vu Quang commune into Chan Mong commune.

Minh Thang commune was established on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 8.91 km2, population of 9,268 people of Tuy Loc commune, the entire natural area of 4.92 km2, population of 7,944 people of Ngo Xa commune and the entire natural area of 5.07 km2, population of 3,958 people of Thuy Lieu commune.
Establish Phong Thinh commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 8.21 km2, population of 5,006 people of Cap Dan commune, the entire natural area of 5.75 km2, population of 3,727 people of Xuong Thinh commune and the entire natural area of 8.39 km2, population of 5,877 people of Son Tinh commune.
Establish Nhat Tien commune on the basis of merging the entire natural area of 4.19 km2, population of 4,466 people of Phu Lac commune, the entire natural area of 7.71 km2, population of 3,594 people of Chuong Xa commune and the entire natural area of 9.55 km2, population of 5,637 people of Van Khuc commune.
Merge the entire natural area of 8.31 km2, population of 9,088 people of Ta Xa commune, the entire natural area of 3.84 km2, population of 5,073 people of Yen Tap commune into Phu Khe commune.
After the arrangement, Cam Khe district has 16 commune-level administrative units, including 15 communes and 1 town.
Establish Tan Phu town in Tan Son district on the basis of the entire natural area of 20.87 km2 and population of 7,755 people of Tan Phu commune.
After the establishment of the town, Tan Son district has 17 commune-level administrative units, including 16 communes and 1 town.
After rearranging commune-level administrative units, Phu Tho province has 13 district-level administrative units and 207 commune-level administrative units.
