According to information from Military Region 2, the mission of the Military Region 2 Command, led by Major General Tran Van Bac - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Commander of Military Region 2 - led in charge of the meeting with the Military Command (CHQS) of Tuyen Quang Province and the Ministry of Military Affairs of Ha Giang Province on the preparation of merging two units under the policy of the Ministry of Defense.
At this meeting, leaders and commanders of Tuyen Quang and Ha Giang units focused on discussing and evaluating the current situation of organization of payroll, determining the organization plan, arranging cadres, staff and soldiers after merging, ensuring strict and scientific, in accordance with the local defense task requirements in the new situation.
Specific contents include: Plan to merge functional agencies and departments; principles of mobilizing, arranging and using cadres to ensure fairness and reasonableness; roadmap for transferring and receiving facilities and technical equipment; ideological work, stabilizing organization and ensuring regimes and policies for the force after the merger.
Major General Tran Van Bac emphasized: The merger is not only a requirement for reorganizing forces, but also an opportunity to improve the operational efficiency of the Provincial Military Command, in line with the strategy of building a national defense, associated with the people's security posture in the defense zone.
Last week, at the Yen Bai Provincial Military Command, Major General Tran Van Bac also chaired a working session with the Lao Cai and Yen Bai Provincial Military Commands to inspect and evaluate the implementation of tasks and preparations for the merger of the two units according to the policy of the Ministry of National Defense.
At this working session, leaders and commanders of the two units focused on discussing and reporting on the assessment of the current situation of staff organization, plans to arrange cadres, locations for eating, staying, and living for cadres working in Yen Bai province; plans to arrange defense areas of the two provinces after the merger;
At the same time, they discussed plans to reclaim facilities, equipment, locations for the Military Command of communes and wards, regimes and policies for cadres, professional soldiers, non-commissioned officers, soldiers, etc.
Major General Tran Van Bac requested that specialized agencies immediately after the conference quickly synthesize and complete the plans, report to competent authorities to implement the implementation to ensure progress and quality.
In Resolution No. 60 approved by the Party Central Committee on April 12 at the 11th Central Conference of the 13th tenure, the Party Central Committee agreed to the plan to merge provinces into cities with 34 provinces and cities (28 provinces and 6 centrally-run cities).
Of which, 23 new provinces and cities will be established according to the merger plans.
Among these, Tuyen Quang province and Ha Giang province will be merged, named Tuyen Quang province, the political and administrative center located in the current Tuyen Quang province.
Merging Lao Cai and Yen Bai provinces, named Lao Cai province, the political and administrative center is located in the current Yen Bai province.
