According to the Government's Electronic Information Portal on May 7, implementing the decisions of the Prime Minister and the Minister of National Defense, the 12th Corps Command held a conference on June 6 to hand over the position of Commander of the 12th Corps between Major General Truong Manh Dung and Major General Le Xuan Thuan.
At the conference, Major General Truong Manh Dung handed over the position of Commander of the 12th Army Corps to Major General Le Xuan Thuan.
Major General Truong Manh Dung joined the Army in 1987. During nearly 38 years of military service, he has worked and developed in the Army for 32 years, growing from the position of Lieutenant to Commander of the Army.
From January 2022, as Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Commander of the 1st Corps and from November, 2023 was Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Commander of the 12th Corps, Major General Truong Manh Dung, together with the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Corps Command set out many guidelines and measures to successfully fulfill all assigned tasks, including many excellent completion tasks.
Major General Truong Manh Dung also made many valuable contributions to building the 12th Army Corps "refined, compact, and strong", moving towards modernity, always being respected, studied, and followed by Party committees at all levels, officers and soldiers of the entire Army.
At the conference, Major General Le Xuan Thuan completely agreed with the content of handing over the report before the conference. At the same time, please promise to join the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Corps Command to maintain the Party's leadership principles, unite, unity, join in, unanimously and overcome all difficulties; Focusing on leading and directing the building of a strong, increasingly mature army, ready to receive and successfully complete all assigned tasks.
Previously, according to Decision No. 824 dated April 24, 2025 of the Prime Minister, Major General Truong Manh Dung, Commander of the 12th Army Corps, was transferred and appointed to the position of Commander of Military Region 1.
In Decision No. 134 dated April 24, 2025 of the Minister of National Defense, Major General Le Xuan Thuan, Deputy Commander and Chief of Staff of Military Region 1, was transferred and appointed to the position of Commander of the 12th Corps.
