On September 19, in Hanoi, the Government Inspectorate held the 6th Patriotic Emulation Congress of the Inspectorate (2026 - 2030).
In the report summarizing the patriotic emulation movement and reward work for 5 years (2021-2025), Deputy Inspector General of the Government Le Tien Dat emphasized that in the past 5 years, the leadership and direction of the Government Inspectorate has undergone many innovations; the role and effects of emulation and reward work have been enhanced.
Regarding inspection work, the whole industry has deployed over 32,484 administrative inspections and 752,164 specialized inspections and examinations.
Through the inspection, economic violations of VND 703,477 billion (up 62.3% compared to the previous term), VND 19,618 hectares of land were detected; VND 424,881 billion (up 86.6% compared to the previous term), VND 2,209 hectares of land were recommended for consideration and handling of 16,426 collectives and 34,420 individuals; 1,762 cases were transferred to the investigation agency (up 258.8% compared to the previous term), 1,266 subjects (up 80.6% compared to the previous term).
Of which, the Government Inspectorate alone issued 82 inspection conclusions; discovered economic violations of VND 52,893 billion, 3,134 hectares of land; recommended the recovery of VND 22,569 billion, 578 hectares of land; transferred 115 cases to the investigation agency (an increase of 180.5% compared to the previous term).
In particular, under the direction of the Central Steering Committee, the Government, the Prime Minister, and the Government Inspectorate have conducted many large-scale inspections, which are very complex, requiring completion in a very short time, and are highly appreciated by the leaders of the Party, State and public opinion.
During the term, the entire sector has increased the urging and inspection of the implementation of conclusions and handling decisions on inspections.
Through the urging, the authorities have recovered VND 17,995 billion; administratively handled 19,443 organizations and 44,196 individuals; transferred 515 cases and 627 subjects to the investigation agency; prosecuted 72 cases and 64 subjects; issued new, amended, supplemented, and abolished 2,198 documents on policies and laws according to recommendations in inspection conclusions...

Regarding the work of preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity, in the past 5 years, through inspection activities, the Inspectorate has discovered economic violations increasing by 62.3%; recommended handling the recovery to the state budget increasing by 86.6%; transfer to the investigation agency increasing the number of cases by 258.8% and increasing the number of subjects by 80.6% compared to the previous term.
The Government Inspectorate alone has transferred 115 cases to the investigation agency, an increase of 180.5% over the previous term.
After the Government Inspectorate Party Committee issued Resolution No. 68-NQ/BCSD in 2023, the Government Inspectorate transferred all cases with signs of crime to the investigation agency immediately during the inspection process, before issuing inspection conclusions.
At the Congress, the Government Inspectorate announced specific Reward Decisions:
Awarded the First Class Labor Medal to former Deputy Inspector General of the Government Tran Ngoc Liem and Head of the Central Citizen Reception Committee Nguyen Hong Diep.
Awarded the Second Class Labor Medal to former Director of the Department of Anti-Corruption and Negative Affairs Hoang Thai Duong (Department IV); former Deputy Director of the Department of Inspection and settlement of Complaints and denunciations of the cultural and social sector Phan Thang Long.
Awarded the Third Class Labor Medal to former Deputy Director of the Department of Anti-Corruption and Negative Affairs Dang Hung Son (Department IV) and Head of the Reporters Department of the Central Agency Dang Thuy Nhai (Integrary Newspaper).
