Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Official Dispatch No. 23/CD-TTg dated March 15, 2025 requesting to accelerate measles vaccination.

The dispatch stated: The measles epidemic continues to be complicated, some localities still record high cases. To quickly control the epidemic and prevent it from spreading and breaking out widely, the Prime Minister requested:

The Minister of Health continues to direct and support localities to speed up the implementation of measles vaccination campaigns; end the campaign no later than March 31, 2025.

Ensure enough measles vaccines, provide them promptly to localities to effectively implement the expanded immunization program, do not be left behind in shortages and delays as in the past.

Direct medical facilities to strictly implement the admission and treatment of patients with measles and rash fever suspected of measles, according to the instructions of the Ministry of Health.

Coordinate with the Ministry of Finance to ensure adequate and timely funding for the measles vaccination campaign before March 18, 2025.

Chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities continue to urgently direct the assessment of the development of measles in the locality to develop a plan to organize a measles vaccination campaign according to the instructions of the Ministry of Health, to prevent measles outbreaks in the coming time.

Quite a efforts are needed to ensure enough human resources, funding, materials, equipment, and vaccines to speed up the vaccination progress, completing in March 2025.
