Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh assumes additional tasks

According to Decision 598/QD-TTg, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is Head of the Steering Committee for the development of science, technology, innovation, digital transformation and Project 06.

Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Decision No. 598/QD-TTg dated March 13, 2025 to establish the Government Steering Committee on science, technology development, innovation, digital transformation and Project 06 (Steering Committee).

According to the decision, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh is the Head of the Steering Committee.

Politburo member and Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh is Deputy Head of the Steering Committee.

Deputy Prime Minister Ho Duc Phoc, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs Bui Thanh Son, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Chi Dung will be Deputy Heads of the Steering Committee.

General Phan Van Giang - Politburo member, Minister of National Defense; General Luong Tam Quang - Politburo member, Minister of Public Security; Minister of Science and Technology Nguyen Manh Hung, Minister of Home Affairs Pham Thi Thanh Tra is Deputy Head of the Steering Committee.

The members of the Steering Committee include: Minister, Head of the Government Office Tran Van Son; Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son; Minister of Industry and Trade Nguyen Hong Dien; Minister of Finance Nguyen Van Thang; Minister of Ethnic Minorities and Religions Dao Ngoc Dung; Minister of Justice Nguyen Hai Ninh; Minister of Agriculture and Environment Do Duc Duy; Minister of Construction Tran Hong Minh; Minister of Health Dao Hong Lan; Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Nguyen Thi Hong; Inspector General of the Government Doan Hong Phong; Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung; Chairman of the Vietnam Institute of Science and Technology Nguyen Van Minh; General Director of the Vietnam Institute of Science and Technology Nguyen Thi Thi Thien Trang; General Director of the Vietnam Institute of Science and Technology Nguyen Thien Trang; General Director of the Vietnam Institute of Science and Technology Nguyen Thien Trang; General Director of the Vietnam Institute of Science and Technology Nguyen Thien Trang; General Director of the Vietnam Institute of Science and Technology Nguyen Thien Trang.

The Steering Committee has the function of researching, proposing to the Government and the Prime Minister and assisting the Government and the Prime Minister in directing and coordinating the implementation of policies, strategies, mechanisms, and nation-level solutions for the development of science, technology, innovation, digital transformation, and implementation of Project 06 and administrative reform.
