Sell at listed price, no price gouging, at tourist spots and festivals
On February 4, the Government Office announced that Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has just signed Official Dispatch No. 09/CD-TTg requesting ministries, branches and localities to ensure a civilized, safe and economical lifestyle in festival activities after the Lunar New Year and the Spring Festival in 2025.
The Prime Minister requested the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism to preside over and coordinate with ministries, agencies and localities to step up propaganda, mobilization, raising awareness and responsibility of all levels, sectors, localities, people and tourists, especially for cadres, civil servants, public employees and party members to strictly comply with legal regulations on organizing and participating in festivals.
Absolutely do not organize and participate in widespread and wasteful festivals; especially those that are used to influence and engage in superstitious activities.
Strengthen inspection, examination and supervision, promptly prevent and strictly handle violations in festival activities to gain profit and cause negative impacts, especially in localities where many festival activities take place and attract a large number of people to participate.
The Minister of Public Security shall strengthen the direction of the work of grasping the situation, ensuring security, social order and safety, preventing fires and social evils at religious establishments and festival venues.
Chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities continue to strengthen state management of beliefs, religions and festivals; promote propaganda, mobilization and guidance for good implementation of legal regulations on organizing belief, religious activities and festivals in the area.
Require businesses and service establishments to publicly list and sell at the listed price, not to solicit and force tourists to buy goods at tourist attractions and festivals, ensure the quality of goods and services, strictly handle acts of taking advantage of relics, festivals, and beliefs for personal gain, superstitious activities, and gambling.
Thoroughly grasp and direct agencies, organizations, units, all cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers to strictly implement regulations and instructions on organizing and participating in festival activities.
Ensure safety, protect the environment, food safety and hygiene, practice thrift, fight waste, and promote the exemplary spirit of cadres, civil servants, and party members.
Leaders of ministries, agencies and localities do not attend the festival on their own initiative.
The Prime Minister requests that cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers in the system of state administrative agencies, relevant agencies, and organizations strictly implement administrative discipline and labor discipline.
Accordingly, do not organize spring outings or New Year greetings during working hours, as this will affect the time and progress of work, especially for local people.
Absolutely do not attend festivals during working hours, do not use public vehicles to attend festivals, except in cases of performing duties; do not use state budget, vehicles, or public assets against regulations for festival activities.
Leaders of ministries, agencies and localities do not attend the festival unless assigned by competent authorities.
The Prime Minister requested that all classes of people, especially cadres and party members, participate in monitoring, urging implementation and promptly reporting to the nearest government agencies and press agencies about activities of individuals and groups that are not in accordance with Party and State regulations for timely and effective handling.
