On February 3, in Hanoi, Politburo member and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh chaired a meeting of the Government Standing Committee with ministries and branches to assess the Tet situation and deploy key tasks after Tet.
According to VNA, concluding the conference, on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the Party's founding (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025), on behalf of the Government, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh affirmed that our Party has no other and higher goal than bringing a prosperous and happy life to the people; at the same time, continuing to innovate the Party's leadership method, including the decision to establish the Government Party Committee - the first Government Party Committee since the Party's founding.
The Prime Minister said that the Government Party Committee will soon hold its first conference; right after Tet is also the festival season, along with implementing regular tasks, it is necessary to organize well so that people can participate in joyful, healthy, safe festivals, against superstition, waste, etc.
The Prime Minister requested ministries, branches and localities to strictly implement 13 main groups of tasks and 67 specific tasks that need to be focused on immediately after Tet as proposed by the Government Office and agreed upon by Government members.
In particular, closely monitor the supply and demand developments and market prices of essential goods and services after Tet to promptly have solutions to balance supply and demand, stabilize market prices; urgently complete investment procedures, and specifically allocate the public investment plan for 2025.
Review and promptly remove difficulties and obstacles for each project during implementation, especially important national projects and works, and national target programs.
In particular, continue to accelerate the implementation of strategic transport projects, airports, seaports, highways, inter-regional and inter-provincial projects, striving to exceed the target of having 3,000km of expressways by the end of 2025.
Ministries and branches resolutely and effectively carry out the work of streamlining the organizational apparatus according to the direction of the Party Central Committee, the National Assembly, the Government, and the Prime Minister; perfect the functions, tasks, powers, and organizational apparatus of ministries, ministerial-level agencies, and agencies under the Government after streamlining.
Ministries, sectors and localities carry out environmental protection activities, organize tree planting festivals, restore ecosystems, prevent and combat natural disasters, saltwater intrusion, respond to climate change, protect wildlife; focus on developing culture, education, health care, labor and employment.
At the same time, it is necessary to pay attention to implementing measures to ensure labor safety; effectively implementing social security policies, and being determined to complete the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses by 2025.
At the same time, urgently complete the work of proposing the law and ordinance making program for 2026, draft laws under the law and ordinance making program for 2025, documents detailing laws and resolutions that come into effect; carefully prepare the contents to serve the 9th Extraordinary Session of the 15th National Assembly.
Continue to urgently, seriously, synchronously and effectively implement the tasks and solutions approved by the Central Government, the National Assembly, the Government and the Prime Minister, strongly promote production and business activities, create jobs and livelihoods for people, and strive to achieve the growth target of 8% or more in 2025.
