Prime Minister Le Minh Hung chairs the ceremony to welcome Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul on an official visit to Vietnam.

At the invitation of Politburo Member, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand Anutin Charnvirakul arrived in Hanoi Capital, beginning an official visit to Vietnam and attending the 3rd ASEAN Future Forum from June 8-9.

On the afternoon of June 8, at the Government Headquarters, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung chaired a ceremony to welcome Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul on an official visit to Vietnam.

Attending the welcoming ceremony were Politburo members: Standing Deputy Prime Minister Pham Gia Tuc; Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of National Defense Phan Van Giang; Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Hoai Trung.

Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul's visit this time continues immediately after the official visit to Thailand by General Secretary and President To Lam from May 27 to 29 and takes place in the context of the two countries jointly celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (August 6, 1976 - August 6, 2026) in 2026, thereby showing the mutual respect between the senior leaders of the two countries and the determination of the two countries to further promote the Vietnam - Thailand Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

At the welcoming ceremony, young people and children of the Capital waved flags of the two countries to welcome Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul and the high-level delegation of the Kingdom of Thailand.

In a warm atmosphere of friendship, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung was present at the red carpet warmly welcoming Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul leading the high-level delegation of the Kingdom of Thailand on an official visit to Vietnam. Representatives of the Capital's children proceeded to present Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul with a bouquet of fresh flowers.

In the sound of welcoming music, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul stepped onto the podium of honor in the main hall of the Government headquarters.

After listening to the military music playing the national anthems of the two countries, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung and Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul stepped forward to bow to the military flag and review the Vietnam People's Army Honorary Team. Next, the two leaders introduced the composition of the high-level delegations of the two countries attending the welcoming ceremony.

The official visit to Vietnam by Thai Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul is a very specific and vivid expression, showing Thailand's importance to bilateral cooperation relations with Vietnam, as well as the desire and determination of the Thai Government to further promote the friendly and cooperative relationship between the two countries, which has been upgraded to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership in 2025.

Along with that, the Prime Minister of Thailand's direct participation in the ASEAN Future Forum shows Thailand's importance not only in bilateral relations with Vietnam but also for ASEAN's initiatives to promote community building, promote solidarity, and promote dialogue to find solutions to help ASEAN face and successfully solve the current challenges.

After the welcoming ceremony, the two Prime Ministers led the high-level delegation of the two countries to hold talks to assess the results of cooperation between the two countries in the past and propose directions for cooperation in the coming time.
