On the afternoon of June 7, at the Government Headquarters, Prime Minister Le Minh Hung chaired the ceremony to welcome Lao Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone on an official visit to Vietnam.

Teenagers and children of the Capital waved flags of the two countries to welcome Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone and the high-level delegation of the Lao People's Democratic Republic.
The visit takes place in the context of Vietnam-Laos relations continuing to be consolidated and developed substantively and effectively in all fields. The two countries always give each other special consideration and top priority in their foreign policies.

After the welcoming ceremony, the two Prime Ministers led the high-level delegation of the two countries to hold talks to assess the results of cooperation between the two countries in the past and propose directions for cooperation in the coming time; witnessed the signing and handover of Vietnam - Laos cooperation documents.
Also in the afternoon of June 7, Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone and the high-level delegation of the Lao People's Democratic Republic laid wreaths and visited President Ho Chi Minh's Mausoleum; laid wreaths at the Monument to Heroes and Martyrs.
