On the afternoon of May 27, in Udon Thani province (Thailand), General Secretary and President To Lam and his wife, along with a high-level Vietnamese delegation, came to offer incense and flowers to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh at the President Ho Chi Minh Relic Site and visit the Relic Site where Uncle Ho once lived and participated in revolutionary activities.
In a solemn and emotional atmosphere, General Secretary and President To Lam, along with his wife and the high-level Vietnamese delegation, observed a minute of silence to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh.
After the incense offering ceremony, visiting the leaf house area, a place that left many imprints of the years Uncle Ho lived and participated in revolutionary activities in Thailand from 1928-1929, General Secretary and President To Lam wrote guest notes, donated books, documents... about Uncle Ho to the Relic Site Management Board.
In his notes, General Secretary and President To Lam expressed his emotion when visiting the Relic Site; respectfully appreciated the efforts and enthusiasm of the Vietnamese community in Thailand in preserving and restoring the relic site, and at the same time always united towards the origin, preserving the Vietnamese language, national cultural identity and fostering friendship between the people of Vietnam and Thailand.
The relic site is not only a historical and cultural address of sacred significance to the Vietnamese community in Thailand, but also a vivid symbol of the attachment between the two nations of Vietnam and Thailand for many decades.
The General Secretary and President wished that "people will continue to promote patriotism, make more and more positive contributions to their homeland and country, and play an important bridge role for the friendly and cooperative relations between Vietnam and Thailand".
Commemorating the 136th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh, to spread the spirit of studying and following Uncle Ho's precious advice, at the Relic Site, General Secretary, President To Lam and his wife planted memorial trees.
