The official visit to Vietnam by Hungarian President Sulyok Tamas and his wife great Zsuzsanna took place from May 27-29, at the invitation of Politburo member and President Luong Cuong.
Welcoming the delegation at Noi Bai International Airport were: Minister of Education and Training Nguyen Kim Son; Vietnamese Ambassador to Hungary Bui Le Thai; Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Le Anh Tuan.
Accompanying Hungarian President Sulyok Tamas on an official visit to Vietnam were Mr. Tibor Baloghdi, Ambassador of Hungary to Vietnam; Mr. Timam Istvan Szilveszter, Director of the Office of the President; Mr. Windisch Istvan, Chief of the Office of the President; Mr. Kiraly Andras Laszo, Chief Advisor to the President; Ms. Keresy Gabriella, Deputy Director of the Department of Foreign Affairs.

President Sulyok Tamas was born on March 24, 5, 5, 2015, in Kiskunfelegyhaza, Hungary. He has a Bachelor's degree in Law from Jozsef Attila Szeged (1980); Master's degree in European Law from Eotvos Lorand University, Budapest (2004). Since March 2024, Mr. Sulyok Tamas has been President of Hungary.
Taking place in the context of the two countries celebrating the 75th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations (February 3, 1950 - February 3, 2025), President Sulyok Tamas' visit to Vietnam marks an important milestone, opening up new cooperation opportunities in the Vietnam - Hungary Comprehensive Partnership.
This is not only a symbolic visit on foreign policy but also aims to promote substantive cooperation in all fields between the two countries. The visit is a strong affirmation of the common political determination of the two countries' senior leaders in further deepening and substantially deepening the Comprehensive Partnership established in 2018, contributing to enhancing mutual understanding.
