President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron and his wife Brigitte Macron paid a state visit to Vietnam from May 25 to 27, at the invitation of Politburo member and President Luong Cuong.
Happy to welcome French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife to Vietnam, President Luong Cuong and his wife went to the car door to welcome French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife.
After receiving a bouquet of fresh flowers from the children of the capital Hanoi, French President Emmanuel Macron and President Luong Cuong walked on the red carpet towards the podium of honor amid the welcoming of students with the French and Vietnamese national flags in their hands.
When the two leaders stepped onto the podium of honor, under the national flags of the two countries, the national anthems of France and Vietnam were sung.

In a solemn atmosphere, President Luong Cuong and French President Emmanuel Macron walked to greet the national flags of the two countries.
The President invited the President of France to approve the Honor Guard of the Vietnam People's Army.
The two leaders introduced to each other members of the high-ranking delegations of the two countries attending the welcoming ceremony; and witnessed the welcoming parade of the Honor Guard attending the Vietnam People's Army.

After the welcoming ceremony, President Luong Cuong and French President Emmanuel Macron took a group photo and held talks at the Presidential Palace.
President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron was born on December 21, 1977. From May 2017 to present, Mr. Emmanuel Macron has been the President of the French Republic (term 2 from May 2022).

President Emmanuel Macron is sympathetic to Vietnam and loves Vietnamese cuisine. President Emmanuel Macron welcomed General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong on an official visit to France in March 2018; Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on an official visit to France in November 2021; General Secretary and President To Lam on an official visit to France in October 2024.
The visit is the first destination within the framework of the trip to 3 Southeast Asian countries of President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, including: Vietnam, Indonesia and Singapore.
In October 2024, during the visit to France by General Secretary and President To Lam, the two countries upgraded their Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
And 8 months after the visit of General Secretary and President To Lam, President Emmanuel Macron's state visit to Vietnam once again affirms the strong development of bilateral relations as well as the good framework of relations that the two countries have established.
