Miss World is one of the largest and oldest beauty pageants on the planet. At Miss World, the "Beauty With a Purpose" award is always considered the most prestigious sub-competition.
Before the current representative, Miss Y Nhi, Miss Do My Linh is the first name of Vietnam to be named for winning this humane category at Miss World 2017 held in China.
Do My Linh's charity project is called "Cportering electricity to the village", implemented in Cu Vai village, Xa Ho commune, Tram Tau district (Yen Bai). This is a remote mountainous area, where children study under oil lamps. After the efforts of Do My Linh and local authorities, Cu Vai village has changed under the influence of electric lights. In particular, the children here can go to school in full lighting conditions.

When Do My Linh started this project, the weather was bad, there were continuous floods, landslides and bridge collapses. The area where she works in the project is completely isolated and sometimes completely out of contact with people elsewhere.
However, with all her efforts, she brought electricity to the village to serve the needs of life. Not only impressed the judges with its practicality, Do My Linh's project was also highly appreciated for its realistic, approachable and strong influence. As a result, she became the winning contestant of "Beauty With a Purpose" and also entered the Top 40 of Miss World that year.
After My Linh, although many other representatives such as Luong Thuy Linh and Do Thi Ha have quality projects, they have not been able to repeat this achievement. Until Y Nhi with the project "Heart To Head" (roughly translated: Journey of the Heart and Mind) was highly appreciated but only stopped at the top 8.
The "Heart To Head" project was founded by Miss Y Nhi to bring positive changes to children in difficult circumstances. She directly went to each school in remote areas to donate bookshelves and repair and renovate degraded facilities.
Miss Y Nhi started the project with a trip to Quang Nam province, bringing knowledge and joy to children in Nam Tra My district. Here, Miss World Vietnam 2023 surveyed and painted and presented bookcases to Mang Priu Primary School and Tak Ngo Primary School.

After that, Y Nhi continued to bring Heart To Head to 11 other provinces and cities, giving a total of 20 bookshelves to children. Although not winning this project, being in the top 8 "Beauty With a Purpose" also shows the efforts of Y Nhi and her team in this year's Miss World journey.
The Miss World final will take place on May 31.
