Reporting to the working delegation, Mr. Huynh Thanh Binh - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Go Cong Tay District (Tien Giang Province) - said that Go Cong Tay District has completed the construction of a new rural district in 2021, with 12/12 communes meeting new rural standards. Of which, 4 communes have achieved advanced new rural standards.
According to Mr. Binh, by the end of August 2024, the growth rate of production value increased by 4.98%, the average income per capita reached 72.3 million VND. In addition, since the beginning of the year, the locality has organized auctions to select 2 investors for 2 projects: the Agricultural Processing Factory and Go Cong Tay Supermarket, with a total investment of over 125 billion VND.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia - Politburo member, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department requested that in the coming time, Go Cong Tay district must build solidarity and unity within the entire Party Committee, in the Party Executive Committee, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee; among cadres, party members and people.
From now until the time of the congress, the Standing Committee of the District Party Committee will review the targets that need to be focused on and strive to complete according to the Resolution of the Congress. At the same time, review and comprehensively evaluate the staff in terms of moral qualities, capacity, and professional qualifications to arrange, assign, and consolidate them appropriately. In addition, build a team of reputable, qualified, and capable staff; do a good job of ideological work, have a mechanism to encourage and motivate to arouse the will, aspiration, and motivation of the staff to best meet the requirements of the assigned tasks.
Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia also requested the Standing Committee of Go Cong Tay District Party Committee to continue coordinating with departments, branches and sectors of Tien Giang province to remove difficulties and obstacles to carry out local socio-economic development.
Along with that, Go Cong Tay district needs to continue promoting the results achieved in agricultural production; focus on calling for investment to develop industry and services; protect the environment; pay attention to educational development, strive to improve the quality of education in the district. Continue to strengthen the implementation of local military and defense tasks; ensure political security, order, social safety, traffic safety in the area, avoid being passive, surprised, and causing complicated "hot spots".
