Sir, President Ho Chi Minh's Testament is an extremely important historical document and was recognized as a National Treasure in 2012. It has been 55 years since Uncle Ho passed away, but his Testament still has great appeal and influence. Why?
- Uncle Ho's Testament is an extremely important historical document and certainly always has great appeal and influence on our entire Party, people and army. Uncle Ho spent a lot of time and effort preparing the Testament, quietly and meticulously, within 4 years from 1965 to 1969.
President Ho Chi Minh 's Testament is a priceless work, becoming a "national treasure" and at the same time a contribution of contemporary Vietnamese culture to the common cultural treasure of humanity.
For that reason, His Testament still retains its value and shines forever, at the same time guiding our nation to firmly step on the path to the goal of a rich people, strong country, democracy, fairness, and civilization.
"Solidarity" is one of the messages clearly emphasized in President Ho Chi Minh's Testament and that is also the spirit that he passed on to the next generation. So, in your opinion, what is the meaning of the spirit of "solidarity" that he mentioned in his Testament?
- In his Testament of more than 1,000 words, President Ho Chi Minh mentioned the word "unity" 8 times. That is also the spirit that our beloved Uncle Ho left for our entire Party, army and people.
The "unity" that He wrote in His Testament has many important meanings for the Vietnamese revolution.
Firstly, it is the compass for the Party's goals and ideals, which is decisive for the victory of the Vietnamese revolution, and has long-term strategic significance throughout the Party's revolutionary leadership; it is the strength and source of success; it always holds high the flag of great national unity, combining national strength with the strength of the times to achieve success. As beloved Uncle Ho once summarized: "Unity, unity, great unity / Success, success, great success".
Second, it is also the platform for action, reminding the political and moral responsibilities of the Party and each Party member must always preserve the precious tradition of solidarity and promote the value of national solidarity, especially "comrades from the Central Committee to the Party cells must preserve the solidarity and unanimity of the Party as if preserving the pupil of their eye".
Third, it is to enlighten the consolidation of close relations with the people, mobilize the people's strength, so that the "Party's will" harmonizes with the "people's heart", and gather strength for the prosperity and strength of the nation.
According to you, how has the promotion of the spirit of great solidarity according to Ho Chi Minh's Thought in the current period achieved important practical results?
- Our Party, State and people have highly promoted the role of the great national unity bloc, always linking solidarity within the Party with national solidarity and international solidarity to promote the combined strength to create great victories in the revolution for national liberation, national reunification and the victories of nearly 40 years of national renewal initiated and led by our Party.
In the spirit of President Ho Chi Minh: In accordance with the law, in accordance with the people's wishes, in accordance with the times, the Party initiated and led, promoted the tradition of patriotic solidarity, national pride, our people have overcome countless difficulties and challenges, and achieved great achievements of historical significance. As the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress affirmed: "Our country has never had such a foundation, potential, position and international prestige as today".
Currently, our Party and people have been implementing the Testament, especially his "last wish": "that our entire Party and people unite to strive to build a peaceful, unified, independent, democratic and prosperous Vietnam, and make a worthy contribution to the world revolutionary cause".
