This is the 6th time BIDV has organized this meaningful Run and on the first morning, more than 34,000 athletes registered to participate.
The launching ceremony of the Race was organized with an offline race event in Ho Chi Minh City and response programs in more than 40 provinces/cities nationwide. In particular, the offline race was held at Sala Urban Area (Thu Duc City, Ho Chi Minh City) with the participation of nearly 3,000 athletes in 3 distances: 5km, 10km, 21km.
Taking place over 23 days, from November 2 to November 24, 2024, the "Warm Tet for the Poor Spring At Ty 2025" Run aims to attract more than 50,000 athletes to participate. All of the athletes' achievements in the Run will be converted into money by BIDV to give Tet gifts to poor people across the country on the occasion of Spring At Ty 2025.
On the launching day of the Race, for each valid kilometer, the athlete will contribute 3,000 VND to the Tet Gift Giving Program for the Poor. And during the Race, BIDV has many events for the athletes to improve their contribution achievements.
Speaking at the launching ceremony, Mr. Tran Phuong - Deputy General Director, Chairman of BIDV Trade Union, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Run - said: "After 5 successful seasons, the Run "BIDVRUN - Warm Tet for the poor" has left its own mark on the community, attracting a large number of partners, customers, staff and the community to participate.
This year's race, in addition to joining hands to bring a warm Tet to the poor people across the country, BIDV pays special attention to difficult circumstances in areas that have suffered losses due to natural disasters and floods in recent times.
With the convenience of registration and recognition of achievements as well as the humanitarian meaning it brings, the "Warm Tet for the poor" Run attracts the attention and response of many athletes.
Mr. Le Tuan Anh (Hanoi) - who has been involved in the Race for 5 years - shared: “I have known and been regularly involved in the BIDVRUN Race since the first year 2019 until now. I have had great experiences with running, with BIDVRUN and connected with many friends who share the same interest in sports.
In particular, I feel that each step of my run is more meaningful when I can contribute to BIDV's community programs such as giving Tet gifts to the poor, building flood-proof houses, planting trees...".
At the launching ceremony, BIDV also presented 25 Tet gifts to 25 poor worker families in Ho Chi Minh City. These are also the subjects that BIDV cooperates with the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to give Tet gifts in the annual Warm Tet for the Poor program.
In addition to contributing funds to community activities, athletes participating in the Race will have the opportunity to receive many attractive prizes and sports gifts according to the Program's Rules.
In particular, 2 insurance units of BIDV (BIDV Metlife Life Insurance Company, BIC Insurance Corporation) participating in this year's Race will give athletes many gifts with a total value of more than 200 million VND.
To participate in the race, athletes can download and register for the BIDVRUN app on the App Store, Google Play or website https://run.bidv.com.vn. Detailed information about the race is continuously updated on the website https://run.bidv.com.vn and the fanpage Warm Tet for the poor.
