Silver is currently hovering around the key threshold of 37.87 USD/ounce. Market analyst James Hyerczyk believes that this is a neutral area in the short term - prices do not have a clear direction, only balancing buyers and sellers.
"If the 37.30 USD/ounce mark cannot be maintained, selling pressure may appear, pushing prices down to the next support zone around 36.21 - 35.28 USD/ounce.
Conversely, if it exceeds 38.74 USD/ounce, buyers can gain control and create new momentum," he said.
James Hyerczyk believes that as long as both of these markers are not penetrated, silver prices will remain stuck in a narrow range, with a strong dependence on external economic data.
In addition, investors are now expecting the US Federal Reserve (FED) to cut interest rates by 25 basis points in September, as the labor market remains stable. This makes the attractiveness of opening additional positions for gold and silver limited.
