According to PV Lao Động's observations of recent trading sessions, the situation of customers visiting gold and silver jewelry shops in Hanoi has been quite deserted. The number of customers only improved when gold shops sold gold rings.
Mr. Cao Anh Tuấn (Bắc Từ Liêm, Hà Nội) - a customer who visited a gold shop on Cầu Giấy Street (Hanoi) said: "Currently, large gold shops do not sell SJC gold bars. As for gold rings, although shops sell them, it is very difficult to buy because the quantities are limited and they are sold out quickly".
A staff member at a gold shop on Cầu Giấy Street (Hanoi) said: "When the shop does not sell gold rings, the trading situation at the shop is very deserted, and even jewelry is rarely viewed by customers. However, every time the shop sells gold rings, it has to stop selling after 20-30 minutes".
Ms. Lê Thị Anh (46 years old, Hà Nội) - a customer who visited a gold shop on Cầu Giấy Street (Hanoi) shared:
"I forgot to bring my ID card to buy gold and had to go back home to get it. However, about 30 minutes later, I returned to the shop and they announced that they had stopped selling gold rings. I'm waiting to buy gold bars, but I'm getting tired because I don't know when they will sell again, so I decided to buy gold rings, but it's still very difficult".
Additionally, at some gold shops on Trần Nhân Tông Street (Hai Bà Trưng, Hà Nội) on the morning of August 6, the price of SJC gold bars ranged from 77-79 million VND per kilogram, and gold rings ranged from 76-77 million VND per kilogram.
At recent trading sessions, the business situation at some gold and silver jewelry shops in Hanoi has been very bleak when shops do not sell gold rings.
Ms. Nguyễn Kim Anh (Hai Bà Trưng, Hà Nội) still had to return home because the shop announced that they had sold out of gold rings this morning.
"I hadn't even had time to park my car on the sidewalk when the shop staff announced that they had stopped selling gold rings just 5 minutes ago. They don't have any SJC gold bars, and even gold rings are hard to buy" - Ms. Kim Anh said.
Mr. Nguyễn Văn Tú (70 years old, Hoàn Kiếm, Hà Nội) - a customer who visited a gold shop on Trần Nhân Tông Street said: "Last week, I had to wait for several days to buy one gold ring, and I wanted to buy another one, but my health didn't allow it. This morning, I went to the shop to ask, but the staff said they had sold out and didn't know when they would sell again".
A staff member at a gold shop on Trần Nhân Tông Street (Hanoi) said: "On August 6, our shop started selling gold rings at 10 am, and many customers came to buy them. However, about 30 minutes later, we had to announce that we had sold out of gold rings".

As of 0 am on August 7, the price of gold on the Kitco website was $2,388.2 per ounce, down 20.7 USD per ounce from the previous day's opening price.
As of 6 am on August 7, the price of gold rings at Hưng Thịnh Vượng on DOJI was 76.20-77.45 million VND per kilogram (buying - selling), down 200,000 VND per kilogram for buying and 100,000 VND per kilogram for selling from the previous trading session.
Company Vàng bạc Đá quý Sài Gòn listed the price of gold rings at 76.15-77.45 million VND per kilogram (buying - selling), down 100,000 VND per kilogram for both buying and selling from the previous trading session.
Bảo Tín Minh Châu listed the price of gold rings at 76.28-77.48 million VND per kilogram (buying - selling), unchanged from the previous trading session.
At the same time, DOJI listed the price of SJC gold bars at 77-79 million VND per kilogram (buying - selling). Compared to the previous trading session, the price of gold at DOJI decreased by 1.3 million VND per kilogram for buying and 800,000 VND per kilogram for selling.
Meanwhile, Company VBĐQ Sài Gòn SJC listed the price of SJC gold bars at 77-79 million VND per kilogram (buying - selling); decreased by 1.3 million VND per kilogram for buying and 800,000 VND per kilogram for selling from the previous trading session. The price difference between buying and selling SJC gold bars at Company VBĐQ Sài Gòn SJC also increased to 2 million VND per kilogram.
