Vinh Long - Lao Dong Newspaper readers through the Golden Heart Charity Social Fund provide support to 3 difficult circumstances, adding hope to overcome adversity.

Hope to light up the fate of illness

Recently, representatives of the Golden Heart Charity Fund (XHTT) in coordination with local authorities directly went to each family to present the money donated by Lao Dong Newspaper readers, sharing part of the burden with particularly difficult circumstances in Vinh Long.

On the old hammock in front of the house, Mr. Nguyen Van Thu is still tired after his periodic dialysis. At the age of 24, the young man who was supposed to be building his future now has to live with the hospital 3 times a week.

Chronic kidney failure has weakened Mr. Thu's health, and all youthful plans are unfinished. What worries him the most is not the prolonged pain but the inability to recover to help and show filial piety to his parents who have worked hard for him.

Representatives of the Golden Heart Charity Fund presented 14,675,660 VND donated by Lao Dong Newspaper readers to Mr. Thu's family. Receiving the money, relatives emotionally sent their deep thanks to readers nationwide for sharing when the family fell into the most difficult path.

I don't know what to say other than sincere gratitude to Lao Dong Newspaper, Tam Long Vang Charity Fund and all readers who have loved and helped. This is not only a precious amount of money but also a motivation to continue treatment, nurturing the hope of recovering," Mr. Thu said emotionally.

Warming up poor homes

Also during the support handover, the Golden Heart Charity Fund came to the simple house of 3 sisters including Ms. Nguyen Thi Truong, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Tuyet and Mr. Nguyen Buu Nhan. Old age, illness and poverty make their lives increasingly difficult.

Mr. Nhan is in poor health, no longer able to work, and his two older sisters are also often sick. The three sisters rely on each other in an old house, many days just hoping to have enough money to buy medicine and have a simple meal to get through the day.

At the support handover ceremony, representatives of the Golden Heart Charity Fund presented 12,570,660 VND donated by Lao Dong Newspaper readers. Holding the money in his hand, Mr. Nguyen Buu Nhan choked up and sent words of thanks to the kind hearts who did not forget the poor in difficult times.

Mr. Nhan emotionally said that the help of Lao Dong Newspaper readers is a great source of encouragement, helping the 3 sisters have more conditions to buy medicine and cover living expenses. The family will always cherish the feelings of those who have never met but are willing to share.
