Expanding admission methods
University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Hue University) has just announced the enrollment plan for the full-time university system in 2026.
This year, the school plans to recruit 1,690 students using 4 methods: considering high school graduation exam results, combining graduation exam scores with international English certificates, direct admission, and aptitude assessment exam scores.
With combined consideration, candidates can use IELTS or TOEFL iBT certificates to convert them into English scores in the combination. Admission scores are the total scores of two graduation exam subjects with certificate conversion scores and priority scores.
In which, the majors of Medicine, Dentistry - Maxillofacial Medicine and Pharmacy require IELTS from 6.5 and TOEFL iBT from 79 points or higher. For the remaining majors, candidates only need a minimum of IELTS 5.5 or TOEFL iBT from 46.
This is a new point in the school's admission method in 2026. Last year, Hue University of Medicine and Pharmacy also used this method but only applied to three majors: Medicine, Dentistry - Maxillofacial Medicine and Pharmacy with IELTS 6.5 or higher.
The conversion level of IELTS and equivalent English certificates of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy (Hue University) in 2026 is as follows:

Specifically, the school considers the competency assessment exam scores of Hanoi National University and Ho Chi Minh City, applied to the majors of Nursing, Medical Testing Technology, Medical Image Technology, Midwifery, Public Health, Nutrition.
Except for public health and nutrition majors, for the remaining majors, candidates are eligible to apply according to this method if they have a grade 12 academic score from quite good or higher or a high school graduation consideration score from 6.5.
