Foreign Trade University said that this year, in addition to 10 newly opened majors, the school also developed 3 existing majors and opened a new program. These new majors and programs are divided into four groups with total enrollment targets for majors/new training programs expected to be about 370 targets.
Group 1 includes key training majors on digital economy – technology – data and artificial intelligence, clearly reflecting the school's orientation in preparing human resources for the digital economy and the business model transformation process, including:
Data science (Data science training program for economic and business innovation);
Artificial Intelligence (Artificial Intelligence training program in economic and business innovation);
Digital Economy (Digital Economy and Data Analysis training program);
Financial Technology (Financial Technology and Sustainable Finance training program);
E-commerce (Smart Digital Trading and Business Innovation Training Program).
Group 2 includes key training majors on management – operation – global value chain, focusing on training human resources capable of managing organizations, people and supply chains in the context of globalization and digitization:
Industrial Management (Smart Industry Management training program);
Human Resource Management (Digital Human Resource Management and Organization Development training program);
Logistics and Supply Chain Management – a training discipline developed from the existing program (Global Logistics and Supply Chain Innovation Program).
Group 3 includes training majors focusing on law and audit in the modern business context, aiming to equip a legal foundation and risk control for economic and business activities in the digital environment and international integration, including:
Economic Law (Training program on Economic Law and Digital Business);
International Trade Law - training sector developed from existing programs (International Trade Law Training Program);
Civil Law and Civil Procedure (Civil Law and Civil Procedure Training Program);
Audit (Integrated Technology Audit Training Program).
Group 4 are key training majors in digital business – creativity – cultural industry, including:
Commercial business – a training industry developed from existing programs (Global Digital Business Training Program);
Creative Business and Cultural Industry - A new open training program in Business Administration.
Foreign Trade University said that the opening of new majors and programs is implemented according to the strategy of innovating training programs, expanding programs according to international career orientation, meeting the requirements of developing high-quality human resources in the context of digital transformation, innovation and deep economic integration.
The school's new training programs are designed according to an international career orientation training model, enhancing practicality, integrating technology and teaching in English, thereby contributing to equipping students with the necessary foundation of knowledge, skills and adaptive capacity to effectively participate in the domestic and international labor markets.
Last year, the University of Foreign Trade recruited more than 4,000 students in four methods, including: Academic transcript review; graduation exam results review; domestic and international competency assessment certificate review, direct admission.
In 2025, the benchmark score for the Advanced Program Foreign Economics major is the highest with 28.5 points. International Business, Business Data Analysis major 28 points; the rest are commonly 25-27 points.
