Entering the 2026 enrollment season, many universities have announced their expected enrollment plans. Among them, the form of admission based on scores from competency and thinking assessment tests is used by many schools.
At the University of Finance - Marketing (UFM), this year, the school is expected to enroll about 6,500 full-time university admissions.
In which 5 admission methods are applied, including:
- Method 1: Direct admission according to the regulations of the Enrollment Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training (admission method code: 301).
- Method 2: Admission based on high school academic results (class records) (admission method code: 200).
- Method 3: Admission based on the results of the Aptitude Assessment exam of Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City (admission method code: 402).
- Method 4: Admission based on the results of the University Entrance Examination on computer (V-SAT exam) (admission method code: 416).
- Method 5: Admission based on the results of the high school graduation exam (admission method code: 100).
Hanoi University of Natural Resources and Environment has just announced the enrollment plan for the regular university system expected in 2026.
Accordingly, in 2026, the school plans to consider admission according to 4 methods:
- Method 1: Direct admission, priority admission according to the Enrollment Regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
- Method 2: Admission based on the results of the 2026 High School Graduation Exam.
- Method 3: Admission based on high school academic results (School records).
- Method 4: Admission based on the results of the Capacity Assessment exam of Vietnam National University, Hanoi in 2026.

For the Military Medical Academy, the school also uses the results of competency assessment exams from universities for admission. Specific admission methods for 2026 are as follows:
- Direct admission, priority admission (female system of the Army not exceeding 50% of the quota);
- Admission based on the results of the competency assessment exam of Vietnam National University, Hanoi and Vietnam National University, Ho Chi Minh City;
- Admission based on high school exam results;
- Admission based on the results of the competency assessment test organized by the Ministry of National Defense (for candidates registering for the Military system with preliminary selection registration).
The University of Labor and Social Affairs also uses the scores of competency and thinking assessment tests to consider admission to the regular university system in 2026. Specifically:
- Admission based on the results of the 2026 high school graduation exam.
- Admission based on high school academic results (admission records).
- Admission based on the results of the competency assessment/thinking assessment exam.
- Direct admission according to the enrollment regulations of the Ministry of Education and Training.
- Admission based on academic results at preparatory schools of ethnic minority universities.
