Vietnam Airlines has adjusted the flight schedule between Vietnam and Kaohsiung (Taiwan, China) on July 6.
Some flights will be transferred to July 7 (local time), including the route between Hanoi - Kaohsiung and Ho Chi Minh City - Kaohsiung... Meanwhile, the flight schedule between cities in Vietnam and Taipei (Taiwan, China) will not change.
Some other flights in the system may be affected. Passengers need to proactively monitor updated information from airlines.
Due to the impact of Typhoon No. 2 Today, two airlines Mandarin Airlines and UNI Air announced the cancellation of all flights in Taiwan (China) on Monday morning, July 7.
Other routes such as to Kim Mon and Bang Ho are expected to resume in the afternoon of the same day, July 7, along with some enhanced flights.
Tigerair Taiwan adjusted the schedule of some flights on July 6 and continued to cancel many other flights, including flights from Kaohsiung to Seoul (Korea), Fukuoka (Japan), Tokyo and postponed flights to Da Nang to July 7.
Many ferry routes in Taiwan will temporarily suspend operations on July 6-7 and some of the following days. Tourists are advised not to plan to travel by ferry on the days from July 6 to 9, especially on the routes to/from Kim Mon, Ma To Island and Tieu Luu Cau Island.
According to Focus Taiwan, in order to ensure safety, many famous tourist destinations in Taiwan (China) will temporarily close for two days, July 6 and 7, including Kenting Park, Shuangliu, Hehuanshan, Aowanda, Dasyueshan, Basianshan, Wuling, as well as the Fushan plantation garden.
Some tourist trains have also stopped operating such as the A Ly Son forest railway, Thai Binh Son sightseeing trains (from 5:00 p.m. on July 5) and Wulai tourist carts (from 8:00 a.m. on July 5).
Authorities have warned of the possibility of temporary closure of some sections of national highways 9, 18, 20 and 29 on Taiwan (China), depending on weather developments.
Tourists who are or are planning to visit Taiwan (China) at this time should closely monitor information from meteorological agencies, local authorities and airlines to update their schedules.
At the same time, minimize travel to dangerous areas to ensure safety, because it is forecasted that due to the impact of storm No. 2, the island may experience rain exceeding 300mm in the next 24 hours.
According to the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, on the afternoon of July 6, storm No. 2 DANAS strengthened to level 11-12 (101-133km/h), gusting to level 15.
The storm is moving north-northeast at a speed of about 15-20km/h.
On July 7, storm No. 2 continued to move north-northeast at a speed of 20-25km/h, entering the waters of Fujian province (China), maintaining an intensity of level 11, gusting to level 14.
