Tran Thanh's "defensive quartet" reached 100 billion VND fastest of all time

Tran Thanh's film "The Four Guardians" surpassed "Mai" to become the fastest Vietnamese film to reach the 100 billion VND mark of all time.

According to Box Office Vietnam - an independent box office observer, as of the afternoon of January 31 (the 3rd day of Tet), "The Four Guardians" has earned more than 101 billion VND. This achievement was established in about 2.5 days. Tran Thanh's latest work is currently the leading film at the Vietnamese box office during the 2025 Lunar New Year.

This helped "The Four Guardians" surpass the movie "Mai". Previously, the project "Mai" reached 100 billion after more than 3 days of showing.

According to Box Office Vietnam, on the first day of Tet, the revenue of the movie "The Four Guardians" reached more than 43 billion VND, including the number of tickets booked for the coming days. On the first day of release alone, Tran Thanh's movie earned more than 31.5 billion VND, far surpassing the remaining competitors also released during this Tet holiday.

The success of the film "The Four Guardians" did not surprise audiences or experts when the work led the number of screenings in theaters and had a high occupancy rate. Currently, the latest project directed by Tran Thanh dominates the box office with more than 6,000 screenings per day, selling more than 300,000 tickets at theaters nationwide.

Previously, the fourth film project directed by Tran Thanh set a record even though it had not yet been officially released. The male director revealed that the work starring Tieu Vy and Ky Duyen had more than 129,000 pre-booked tickets, becoming the Vietnamese film with the highest number of pre-booked tickets of all time.
