After two days of release, the movie "The Four Guardians" continued to win big at theaters when it became the fastest Vietnamese movie to reach the 64 billion mark in revenue of all time.
Previously, the movie set a record as the Vietnamese movie with the highest revenue on the first day of release of all time with more than 30 billion VND and 330,000 tickets.
The audience compared "The Four Guardians" and "Mai" - 2 Tet movies directed by Tran Thanh.
Viewers said that "The Four Guardians" had less content and plot than "Mai".
Responding to the audience's comments, director Tran Thanh affirmed that "The Four Guardians" is purely a light-hearted, entertaining comedy, suitable for the first days of the new year.
He said: "Mai and The Four Guardians are two different genres of movies.The Four Guardians is humorous and lovely for the first days of the new year.Some people like this style, some like that style, I understand that it is the preference of each audience.What I always aim for is not to disappoint my audience and always make films with the most meticulous mindset possible." On this occasion, the male director added that he hopes the audience will fully enjoy this project during Tet; he hopes viewers will not compare the two films with each other.
Previously, in an interview with reporters, Tran Thanh also expressed his opinion on the fact that the films he directed have people who like and hate them.He affirmed that he does not forbid the audience from expressing their love and hate because that is everyone's feeling.However, Tran Thanh affirmed that he does not want to make a film that is not meticulously crafted to be released in theaters.
On the second day of the premiere in Ho Chi Minh City, director Tran Thanh and actors Le Giang, Le Duong Bao Lam, Uyen An, Tieu Vy, Quoc Anh and Ky Duyen made a cinetour to the cinemas Cinestar Hai Ba Trung, CGV Giga Mall, Lotte Go Vap, BHD Star Quang Trung, Beta Quang Trung and Galaxy Nguyen Van Qua.
