In a recent livestream, male singer Hua Chenyu burst into tears because the concert "Hoa Tinh Lac Vien 2. 0" scheduled to be held on May 1, 2, 4 and 5 at the Phu Tien Lake music stage (Zhengjiang, Yuxi, Yunnan, China) had to be suddenly postponed due to "force majeure".
Notably, Hoa Than Vu's concert is considered to have a huge investment level and is rare in the Chinese entertainment industry.
At the "Hoa Tinh" concert in Shenzhen (China) in February, Hua Chenyu revealed the purchase of 3 land plots in a place "four seasons like spring" to build a "house dedicated to Hoa Tinh".
From "renting stage locations" to "buying land to build ecosystems", this is an unprecedented step in the Chinese music scene. Hoa Than Vu's ambition is to create a long-lasting music venue, combining performance, game interaction and ecological activities.
According to sources in the entertainment industry, through a company in which he holds shares, Hoa Than Vu has won 40-year land use rights for 3 commercial - tourism land plots along Phu Tien Lake, with estimated land purchase costs ranging from 800 million CNY to 1.5 billion CNY (about 3,000 - 5,700 billion VND).
The team of Hoa Than Vu has completed more than 30 basic infrastructure items in the open-air wasteland such as electricity, transportation, fire prevention... The construction cost for each stage is up to 30 million CNY, and at the same time mobilized more than a hundred trucks, taking half a month to turn the wasteland into a "concert park".
The concert includes the construction of a 72m high mobile stage, a 9,000 m2 large screen, and auxiliary items such as a themed homestay and a food market. The temporary stage alone used 2,000 tons of steel, costing more than 50 million CNY; the sound and lighting system was designed specifically by the Olympic team, with a total investment of hundreds of millions of CNY.

Hoa Than Vu only announced the reason for the concert being postponed due to "force majeure". But according to Chinese media, the reason may lie in Phu Tien Lake itself.
Many reports say that the concert venue is less than 300m away from the national water source area type I, Phu Tien Lake. According to the "Phu Tien Lake Protection Regulations of Yunnan province", the ecological core area prohibits the construction of new large structures and the organization of activities that may pollute water sources.
The number of people flocking to the concert is expected to be very large, which may put pressure on the fragile ecosystem of the lake. The environmental agency's strict control of capacity is very likely to be the "last straw" causing the concert not to be approved.
Notably, according to 163, the project had previously received investment support from the government of Zhengjiang city and environmental approval; the location is located in a business-permitted area, not belonging to the ecological prohibited zone.
Rumors such as "environmental violations" or "conflicts with water festivals" have been refuted. The current debate focuses on: why all procedures were approved beforehand, but were stopped close to the performance day.
The postponement of this concert also disrupted the "music + tourism" combination model. Initially, the project aimed to build a closed "concert + tourism" ecosystem, each ticket deducting 10 CNY for the Phu Tien Lake protection fund, combined with a themed accommodation system to create a long-term consumption chain.
Hoa Than Vu estimates that it will cost tens of millions of RMB to refund 100% of the ticket money to the audience, and at the same time pay for airline and hotel ticket cancellation fees - including costs that are not directly liable.
