According to the organizers in Japan, Cha Eun Woo's photo exhibition named "Afterimage" will be held in the central area of Ginza, Tokyo, Japan from March 28 to May 12.
This exhibition is said to display many behind-the-scenes photos from Cha Eun Woo's various activities.
Ticket bookings have started since March 14, with a price of 4,000 yen (about 660,000 VND). Products related to Cha Eun Woo will also be sold at the exhibition venue.
However, because Cha Eun Woo is serving in the army, he did not directly attend the exhibition. The actor enlisted in July last year and is serving in the Army's military music, expected to be discharged in January 2027.
Regarding this exhibition, Fantagio management company said: "It is true that we have organized a photo exhibition in Japan. This is a project that has been signed in August 2024 and is being implemented according to a previously agreed schedule.
Meanwhile, earlier this year, Cha Eun Woo was involved in a controversy when he was suspected of tax evasion. He was inspected by the No. 4 Investigation Department of the Seoul Tax Department last year.
After the investigation, the actor received a notice of tax arrears of about 20 billion won in income tax and related amounts. This figure is considered the largest tax arrears ever applied to an individual artist in South Korea.
In particular, public opinion also paid attention to the suspicion that he used a management company founded by his mother to evade income tax.
The registered address of this company is said to coincide with the eel restaurant run by Cha Eun Woo's family, which has now closed.
After the controversy broke out, Cha Eun Woo announced on social media: "As a Korean citizen, I am reviewing my tax obligations and taking a deep self-criticism. I will humbly accept the final result according to the verdict and take responsibility.
Cha Eun Woo and Fantagio company are still cooperating with the tax authorities' investigation to handle the case.
