To celebrate the 100th anniversary of the death of patriot Phan Chau Trinh (March 24, 1926 - March 24, 2026), the Da Nang Museum organizes many meaningful activities to honor his life, career and renovation ideology.
The highlight is the exhibition "Phan Chau Trinh - Pine tree of Quang region", introducing nearly 100 images, documents and artifacts about Phan Chau Trinh's life, career, patriotic activities as well as Phan Chau Trinh's contributions to the Duy Tan movement and the country's renovation ideology. The exhibition content is divided into three parts including: Germination, Living Plastic and Solid Pine Tree.
The exhibition is held at Phan Chau Trinh High School from March 19 - 21; Tay Ho Commune Culture - Sports Center from March 23 - 26; and at Da Nang Museum (31 Tran Phu) from March 30 to April 25.
On the morning of March 19, the program "Historical Journey" with the theme "Phan Chau Trinh - The pioneer of renovation" took place at Phan Chau Trinh High School, with the participation of 120 10th and 11th grade students. The program includes many competitions such as: Duy Tan Flame, Following Mr. Phan's Footsteps, Aspiration for renovation and the special part "Decoding Duy Tan".
Through activities, the organizing committee wishes to contribute to educating patriotic traditions, arousing national pride and spreading the progressive ideological values of patriot Phan Chau Trinh to the younger generation.
Also on March 19, Ms. Nguyen Thi Anh Thi - Vice Chairwoman of Da Nang City People's Committee chaired a meeting with relevant departments, branches, units, and localities to review the organization of the 100th anniversary of the death of patriot Phan Chau Trinh (1926 - 2026).
According to the Da Nang Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, in March, many activities were organized to show gratitude and honor the great contributions of patriot Phan Chau Trinh to national history.
On March 23, an incense offering ceremony will be held at Phan Chau Trinh Memorial House, Tay Ho commune and at Phan Chau Trinh Memorial House, No. 72 Phan Chau Trinh, Hai Chau ward to express deep gratitude to Patriot Phan Chau Trinh - a great personality of the nation, who dedicated his whole life to the cause of popularizing knowledge, revitalizing national spirit and promoting social reform.
On the same day, in Tay Ho commune, there will be a scientific seminar "The idea of'Only studying' of patriot Phan Chau Trinh in the era of national rise".
In addition, the Da Nang Library displays more than 1,500 documents and research publications to serve the needs of learning, studying and spreading the historical and cultural values of celebrities.
