Da Nang's cultural industry sets a growth target of 10% per year

Da Nang - Da Nang has just set a target to bring the cultural industry to an average growth of 10%/year.

On March 18, the Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee issued an Action Program to implement Resolution No. 80-NQ/TW of the Politburo on the development of Vietnamese culture. In which, Da Nang identified the goal of building culture to truly become the spiritual foundation of society, an internal resource and an important driving force for rapid and sustainable development.

To realize this vision, the city plans to allocate at least 2% of the total annual budget expenditure to the cultural sector. Along with that, Da Nang strives to achieve a growth rate of 10% per year for the cultural industry.

In the short term, the city is determined to complete the digitization of 100% of cultural heritage that has been ranked at the national and special national level in 2026. Regarding education, Da Nang sets a goal that all students in the national education system have access to and learn about the history, revolutionary traditions and culture of Quang region. This is to build a generation of Da Nang citizens who are humane, creative and deeply proud of their local identity.

One of the core issues emphasized by the Action Program is overcoming the disparity in the level of cultural access of people. Currently, reality shows that there is still a gap between urban and rural areas, as well as between the East and West of the city. Therefore, the development orientation in the coming time will focus on creating a healthy cultural environment, gradually narrowing this gap so that all people can enjoy the same development achievements.

The city also determines to maintain and effectively implement the "5 no's", "3 yess", "4 ans" programs to suit the new practical situation. Building a cultural ecosystem to promote innovation, where businesses play a driving role and people are placed in the center, both creative subjects and direct beneficiaries.

To prepare for the vision of becoming a cultural and artistic center of the region, Da Nang will focus on planning and investing in large-scale cultural institutions. Many key projects have been put into development vision such as the Opera House, modern cultural centers and the Quang Culture Museum. These projects are not only architectural highlights but also the foundation for organizing international-scale cultural and artistic events.

Da Nang also focuses on building digital cultural infrastructure through the establishment of a large data platform on heritage, artisans and artists. The innovation of management methods in the direction of creation and service, and the strong application of science and technology are expected to create a major shift in the management of festivals and grassroots cultural activities.

The Standing Committee of the Da Nang City Party Committee has assigned tasks to Party committees, authorities and socio-political organizations at all levels to thoroughly grasp and widely disseminate this content to each party member and people. The review and amendment of mechanisms and policies will be implemented urgently to create a transparent legal corridor, unlock all resources so that Da Nang can soon become a heritage city, a creative city and an attractive destination on the world cultural map.
