Binh Dinh island tourism skyrockets
On September 4, Mr. Tran Van Thanh - Director of Binh Dinh Department of Tourism - said that during the 4-day National Day holiday on September 2, the weather in Binh Dinh was sunny and cool, creating favorable conditions for people to go sightseeing and travel. However, this year's holiday is not yet the peak tourist season, the number of visitors to the province only increased slightly.
According to statistics, the total number of visitors to Binh Dinh is estimated at more than 200,000 (up 13% over the same period last year), earning the province VND555 billion (up 0.8% over the same period last year). Of which, about 96,000 guests stayed overnight, room occupancy rates at facilities reached 30 - 70%, no large hotels along the coast were "out of rooms".
In Hoai Nhon town, a series of cultural, sports and tourism activities such as: "La Vuong Green Dragon" street parade festival, "La Vuong - Green Plateau Calling" art program, OCOP booths and typical cuisine of 17 communes and wards attracted about 16,000 visitors in 3 days (August 30 to September 1).
In Tay Son district, the 232nd anniversary of Emperor Quang Trung's death (1792 - 2024) is also a cultural highlight, with many martial arts performances, lion and dragon dances and traditional arts, attracting thousands of participants.
In the coastal city of Quy Nhon, a series of cultural events, martial arts and a music night "Wings of Miracles" in the program "Tourism, Cinema and Sports - Proud of Vietnamese Identity" in 2024 took place from September 2 to 4, also attracting tens of thousands of spectators.
The number of visitors to coastal and island tourist areas increased sharply, with more than 100,000 arrivals, up 27% over the same period last year. Some prominent tourist destinations such as Eo Gio, Ky Co, and Ghenh Rang in Quy Nhon have thousands of visitors per day.
According to the Binh Dinh Province Department of Tourism, the high airfares have affected the travel of tourists. During the 4-day holiday, there were a total of 50 flights to Phu Cat airport, down 10 flights compared to the same period last year.
Slight increase in customers, strong increase in revenue
According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Yen province , during the 4-day holiday, there were about 46,500 visitors to the province for sightseeing and tourism, an increase of 10% over the same period last year. Total revenue from tourism reached 93 billion VND (an increase of 46% over the same period last year), of which accommodation revenue reached 16.6 billion VND.
The number of visitors to the special national relic Ganh Da Dia, the special national relic Thap Nhan and Bai Mon - Mui Dai Lanh from August 31 to September 2 reached more than 14,000. Of which, Ganh Da Dia had more than 7,000 visitors; Thap Nhan had more than 4,000 visitors; Bai Mon - Mui Dai Lanh had nearly 3,000 visitors.
During the holidays, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Phu Yen province organized programs such as welcoming art, Bài chòi, Đờn ca tài tử, street music... to serve the people and tourists.
Tourist accommodation establishments in the area also organize culinary and musical programs such as: Violin concert, culinary festival, Central Highlands music, music and fireworks to welcome, lithophone performance... to serve diners.
