Erik (real name Le Trung Thanh) has officially responded to the mixed opinions after episode 2 of the program "Sao Nhap Ngu".
The male singer said that he spoke out not to clarify but wanted to apologize to the audience who felt dissatisfied, even disappointed with his attitude.
When someone chooses to appear in public, they must learn to take responsibility for what they have shown. Thanh does not want to avoid that," Erik said.
Admitting mistakes when letting teammates wait for 20 minutes
According to Erik, the first two episodes recorded the first 10 hours of the enlistment day. This is a short time for a person to get acquainted with a new environment, but the male singer affirmed that he does not take this as an excuse.
Erik admits to having a gentle personality, being protected by his family since childhood. He participated in the program because he wanted to put himself in an environment without favoritism, not being able to rely on familiar things and not always being able to do what he wants.
The male singer expects the military service journey to help him grow up, know how to take responsibility for himself and those around him.
Difficulties may be a reason for sympathy but not a reason to evade responsibility," Erik shared.
In episode 2, Erik caused controversy when he was slow in the preparation process, causing the whole squad to stand in the sun for about 20 minutes. He admitted that the habit of living late has existed for nearly 20 years, and cannot be changed after only one or two days.
However, the male singer determined that making his teammates wait was his fault and took full responsibility.
When reminded by the company commander, Erik immediately apologized to the commander and soldiers at the unit. He said he had learned from experience and committed not to let personal shortcomings continue to affect the collective.
Explaining reactions when asked to cut hair
Another situation that caused Erik to receive many mixed opinions was his reaction when asked to cut his hair according to military regulations.
The male singer affirmed that he was aware from before that when entering the military environment, all regulations must be complied with and there are no exceptions. He is also psychologically prepared for changing his hairstyle.
However, at the time of facing the request directly, Erik did not control his emotions well. He revealed that he was inherently self-conscious about his real hair and rarely appeared in public with this image.
Having to cut his hair in front of many cameras caused the male singer to fall into an unimaginable situation, forcing him to directly face the fear that lasted for many years.
However, Erik does not see self-doubt as a reason to deny the inappropriate reaction. He apologized to the commanders, soldiers, program crew and the audience who felt uncomfortable watching the situation.
Erik said he did not expect viewers to immediately understand or forgive him. Instead, he proposed to be given more time to show the change in the next episodes.
