According to Lao Dong's update, by the morning of August 24, universities had completed virtual filtering and admission consideration for candidates re-taking the 2026 high school graduation exam for candidates at the Tuyen Quang Specialized High School exam site.
Representatives of Hanoi Medical University said that after the virtual filtering process, among the 41 students of Tuyen Quang Specialized High School admitted to the school, 6 students were officially admitted. Previously, these 41 students had registered 95 aspirations for admission to the school.
Among the 6 students admitted to Hanoi Medical University, 2 students were admitted directly to the Medicine and Odonto-Stomatology majors, and 2 candidates were admitted to the Ophthalmology refractive surgery major with the competency assessment exam scores of Hanoi National University of Education.
There was 1 student admitted to the psychology major when considering the high school graduation exam scores, D10 combination (Math, Geography, English) with an admission score of 26.2 (being added 1.5 points because of IELTS 8.0, regional points), 1 candidate admitted to the Nutrition major using the B00 combination (Math, Chemistry, Biology).
In this year's university entrance exam season, students of Tuyen Quang Specialized High School registered their aspirations for 122 universities.
Previously, Hanoi University of Science and Technology said that this year there were 78 candidates from Tuyen Quang Specialized High School registered for admission to the school with nearly 300 aspirations. After the national virtual filtering round for supplementary consideration, 31 candidates were admitted.
Notably, many students of the school have been admitted to majors with very high benchmark scores. 1 candidate passed the Computer Science major, the major with the highest benchmark score in HUST this year with 29.54/30 points. 1 candidate passed the Data Science and Artificial Intelligence major with a benchmark score of 29.27 points. 3 other candidates passed the Microelectronics Engineering and Nanotechnology major, a major with an entrance score of 28.64 points.
Most candidates were admitted by the talent admission method in the 1.3 category (admission based on competency profiles combined with interviews) with 25 candidates, admitted by the thinking assessment test score (TSA) method organized by Hanoi University of Science and Technology with 5 candidates. With the high school graduation exam score method, only 1 candidate was admitted.
Hanoi University of Science and Technology said that all 31 candidates had high and excellent high school re-exam scores; 25 candidates in category 1.3 all had high TSA scores and good student exam achievements (4 students won national consolation prizes, 7 students won first prize in the province, 6 students won second prize in the province, 5 students won third prize in the province and 3 students won consolation prizes in the province), 10 candidates had high IELTS foreign language certificate scores (5.5 to 6.5).
Not only Hanoi University of Science and Technology, students of Tuyen Quang Specialized High School are also admitted to many other major universities.
According to information from the National Economics University, 126 candidates from Tuyen Quang Specialized School registered their aspirations for the school. As a result, 20 candidates met the conditions for admission. Among them, 2 students were admitted by direct admission. The remaining cases were all admitted by combined admission. No candidates were admitted by the method of considering high school graduation exam scores in 2026.
The Banking Academy has 10 students from Tuyen Quang Specialized High School admitted; Thuong Mai University has 11 students. 1 student admitted to the History Pedagogy major of Hanoi National University of Education 2.
