In the first days of the Lunar New Year 2025, thousands of people and tourists flocked to Lieu Hanh Holy Mother Temple (Quang Dong commune, Quang Trach district, Quang Binh province) to enjoy spring, offer incense, and pray for good luck in the new year.
From early morning, crowds of people flocked to Lieu Hanh Temple, one of the prominent spiritual tourist destinations of Quang Binh.
The family of Ms. Vo Thi Thuy (Quang Xuan commune, Quang Trach district) prepared offerings to go to the temple to pray for a peaceful new year.
“I chose Lieu Hanh Holy Mother Temple to visit at the beginning of the year, to offer incense and pray for peace and prosperity for my family and loved ones,” Ms. Thuy shared.
Located at the foot of Deo Ngang Pass, on a flat land with the position of “back to the mountain, face to the water”, Lieu Hanh Holy Mother Temple has a mysterious and majestic beauty. Behind the temple is the majestic Hoanh Son range, a place associated with poetry and history of Vietnam.
The temple's architecture includes the front temple and the back temple, creating a solemn spiritual space, in accordance with the folk legends about Holy Mother Lieu Hanh.
Not only having spiritual significance, Lieu Hanh Holy Mother Temple also has great cultural, historical and tourism value. On April 24, 2024, Quang Binh province issued a decision to recognize this as an official tourist destination, contributing to promoting and attracting tourists to visit and worship.
Despite the increasing number of visitors, security and order in the temple area are still maintained. There is no jostling, pushing or littering. Services for tourists are also stable, with no price increases or overcharging.
A representative of the Management Board of the Lieu Hanh Holy Mother Temple said that due to favorable weather, the temple welcomed thousands of visitors to offer incense and pray for peace in the first days of the new year. To ensure order and convenience for visitors, functional forces have been deployed at key checkpoints to guide, direct traffic and support people coming to worship.
With careful preparation, sacred space and beautiful scenery, Lieu Hanh Holy Mother Temple continues to be an ideal destination in the early days of spring, attracting visitors from all over to pray for a peaceful and prosperous new year.
