On May 19, at the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Hue City, the Department of Culture and Sports of Hue City opened a thematic exhibition "Moon and River Festival - Votes of Belief and Responsibility", to celebrate the 136th birthday of President Ho Chi Minh (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2026).
Before the opening ceremony, delegates offered flowers and observed a minute of silence to commemorate President Ho Chi Minh, expressing deep gratitude for his great contributions to the Vietnamese revolutionary cause.
The exhibition introduces more than 200 images, documents and precious artifacts, recreating the development path of Vietnamese revolutionary democracy associated with the National Assembly elections; and at the same time depicting the role of President Ho Chi Minh in building a State of the People, by the People and for the People.
The exhibition space includes 3 main contents, reflecting important milestones of the Vietnamese National Assembly through the periods. Prominent are documents about the first General Election in 1946; the role of President Ho Chi Minh in building and consolidating the National Assembly in the period 1946 - 1969.
The exhibition also introduces many documents about the revolutionary struggle movement and the process of exercising the right to vote of the people of Thua Thien Hue in the past, now Hue City, through historical periods; recreating the atmosphere of the National Assembly and People's Council elections after the country's reunification.
Through images, documents and exhibits, the exhibition contributes to propagating the meaning and importance of citizens' rights in building a socialist rule-of-law state; arousing pride and responsibility of voters on the great festival of the country.
