On May 13th, the Da Nang Museum announced that it will coordinate with the Goethe Institute and the Max Planck Association to organize the scientific exhibition "Universum - Human - Intelligence" (UMI) in Da Nang, bringing to the public a journey to explore major questions about the universe, human origin, brain and artificial intelligence through many modern forms of interaction.

The exhibition aims to celebrate International Museum Day and Vietnam Science and Technology Day (May 18).
The exhibition introduces to the public advanced scientific research in Germany, and at the same time opens a journey to explore the big questions of the era such as the formation of the universe, the origin of mankind, brain activity, human impact on the planet and the development of artificial intelligence.
The exhibition content ranges from the question of whether extraterrestrial life exists, the evolutionary journey of mankind from Africa about 1.5 million years ago to issues related to human awareness, thinking, emotions and intelligence.
The exhibition also raises many current issues such as climate change, biodiversity, Age of Man and ethical limitations in the context of increasingly strong artificial intelligence development.
The entire content is built through 5 main themes including: Universe, Human History, Brain, Anthropology and Artificial Intelligence (AI).
The organizers said that the exhibition is designed in an accessible direction, combining popular scientific knowledge with the latest research in Germany through images, graphics, models, films, podcasts and many high-tech interactive elements.
According to Ms. Thai Mai Lan - Director of the Goethe Institute of Ho Chi Minh City, the UMI exhibition shows that science is always considered an important part of German culture, and at the same time reflects the open international cooperation network of this country's science for students and young researchers around the world.
The highlight of the opening ceremony is a series of interactive discovery experiences UMI with the guidance of science communication experts. Participants will discover the main topics through practical activities, interactive content and Discovery Passport in German.
This STEM exhibition was initiated in Germany in 2021 and has passed through many cities in Europe and Asia. After Hanoi, Da Nang is the second stop in Vietnam for the UMI exhibition before continuing to Ho Chi Minh City.
