On April 21, the Department of Culture and Sports of Hue City said that the Martyrs' Memorial House on Route 71 in Sub-area 67 has been ranked as a city-level historical and cultural relic along with 17 other relics.
In 2022, in order to commemorate and express gratitude to the martyrs who sacrificed themselves in the process of rescuing workers at Rao Trang 3 Hydropower Plant, the Hue City government built a Memorial House at Forest Protection Station 67 on Route 71 - where 13 officers and soldiers sacrificed themselves.
The project has a total cost of more than 6.5 billion VND, built on an area of more than 1.8ha.
The main items include a memorial house, a stele commemorating martyrs, a retaining wall and reinforcement of the taluy slope, internal roads, parking lots, and a solar lighting system.
After completion, this place became a red address, contributing to educating patriotism and the spirit of courageous sacrifice for the young generation.
