Chuong Pagoda (Kim Chung Tu) is located in Nhan Duc village, Hien Nam ward, Hung Yen city. Known as "The first scenic spot in Hien town", Chuong Pagoda attracts a large number of people and tourists to visit every time Tet comes.
According to Lao Dong, on New Year's Eve, the Chuong Pagoda was decorated brilliantly and brightly on the threshold of the new year. The spacious and airy pagoda grounds were even more sacred and magical under the yellow lights.
Before the New Year's Eve, many locals go to the temple to make offerings, pray for peace and for the new year At Ty 2025. Visitors choose to go to the temple early to avoid the crowds, leisurely look back on the past year and pray for good things to come.
Ms. Tran Tu Anh (23 years old, Tien Lu) shared: "Before the New Year, I went to the temple to thank for what I achieved in the year of Giap Thin and pray for peace, fortune, and luck in the upcoming year of At Ty."
Mr. Cong Hau (32 years old, Hung Yen city) said that every year his family goes to Chuong pagoda and Mau temple to give thanks on New Year's Eve.
"I go to temples and pagodas to thank the gods for protecting and sheltering my family throughout the past year. Coming to the pagoda, my family also feels peaceful and serene, leaving behind all the worries of life to be ready to welcome the new year in the most gentle and comfortable way," said Mr. Cong Hau.
According to Mr. Pham Anh - a Chinese calligraphy teacher in front of Chuong Pagoda, the pagoda always welcomes a large number of visitors during the Tet holiday. Especially on New Year's Eve, after performing a ceremony at home, many families come to the pagoda to give thanks and pray for good things in the new year.
Mr. Pham Anh said that in addition to Chuong Pagoda, people also go to Mau Temple and Ba Chua Kho Temple on New Year's Eve and in early spring. To avoid crowds, many people come early before New Year's Eve, then go to watch fireworks or return home to celebrate the new year.
According to the book "Dong Khanh Du Dia Chi", the pagoda was built during the Le Dynasty (15th century). After many restorations and embellishments, the pagoda still retains the architectural and artistic features of the Later Le Dynasty. With its long history, beautiful architecture and unique system of ancient statues, the pagoda is not only a spiritual destination, but also an attractive tourist destination for locals and tourists from all over.
The Bell Pagoda also preserves many valuable artifacts in terms of art as well as history and culture such as horizontal lacquered boards, parallel sentences, bronze bells, stone gongs, La Han Buddha statues... In particular, the pagoda has a system of statues including the Eight Vajrapani, 18 La Han, 4 Bodhisattva statues... Each statue has its own posture and appearance, elaborately crafted, making visitors amazed.
Over time, Chuong Pagoda is still a spiritual destination that cannot be missed by locals during Tet. The pagoda is decorated with bright lights, attracting visitors from all over the country to visit in the early days of spring.
